Does it make sense to pray for guidance about the future if we are not obeying in the thing that lies before us today? @MaryMamuzich @sinbach I went to Valparaiso University where the split between ELCA and Missouri Synod was on full display and studied in its respected honors college. Since then I've watched my sister and brother-in-law, also graduating from this institution and program, move into full alignment with the ELCA to my great disappointment. There's such a big difference between the Bible is the Word of God and the Bible CONTAINS the Word of God. I believe God will have victory in these relationships yet (2 Corinthians 2:14).
As Christians, we lift up the immortal Jesus and His resurrection life, His grace, His compassion, His generosity

@DevotionalTreasures Agreed... And his confession of who God is, as well as who he is in Christ.

Our God is amazing. Jesus wept for his friend Lazarus and the situation. Then he said a few words and raised him from the dead. Compassion, tenderness, authority, victory.
