@Knittinggrace We have a journalism background from my youth, so I wrote an e-book on Plagues & Scientific Home Remedies. The question I ask is: how can masks NOT help?
@Keeper I looked for the COVID19 911 article but couldn't find it. Can you provide a page link?
Hard to believe!
Elderly Christians across China are deprived of government subsidies if they continue practicing their faith.
One woman says: "If they cancel my benefits, I will meet God earlier.” Amazing faith! We need to pray for these persecuted Christians!

@Miracle17 Greetings! I also have a special needs daughter, developmentally delayed son and one handicapped son in Heaven.
@mariapombo His endearing Fathership to me.
@speakthetruth @sinbach wow. That's fascinating to see the power of God again! Thanks for sharing.
@speakthetruth Ok. I wondered if you are a sabbath keeper too. This old testament dietary laws and sabbath keeping usually go together. I will say this and it will conclude our discussion for this time: the Christian jews met on the Sabbath. Christian gentiles met on the first day of the week which was the day the Lord rose from death. This is symbolic of the Old Testament and new. Bless you Fred. Keep seeking the Lord.
@speakthetruth For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; BUT RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST...Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy no the work of God. Romans 14:17 & 19
I think you don't understand the difference between the purpose of the Old Testament in light of the New Testament, Fred. The Old was incomplete for man and the Lord knew that it would be but He set it such to show that. The New Testament was spoke at the heels of Eve's sin. That was ultimately what the Lord knew we would have to have. The old - break it in one point and you break it all. ALL. New T is mercy, grace with the enabling power Spirit of Christ.
@speakthetruth It's an unsafe statement to say 'do we follow Christ or Paul.' Paul was endowed with the Holy Spirit to be one of the men to write the oracles of the new covenant life. God chose to give both an Old Testament law and a New Testament grace and mercy. They compliment each other. But the old is worthless without the new. The old is to prove our inability to be sanctified my our own efforts. The new provides the means for us to be like Christ and His power.
The law is good. It is our schoolmaster to bring us to the point of revealing our sin. But, the law can not redeem. If it could we would not have had to have Christ come to earth for the atonement He made. The law is the fore-shadowing of Christ. Christ's atonement and the indwelling of His Spirit through the means of the Holy Spirit gives us a greater means of sanctification. Heb 8:13 with chapter 9. There is a purpose of the Old law, but a better one motivated by love.
@mariapombo I didn't see how this scenario was going to have any purpose in it, but when it was done my oldest son was able to do the work, I got new powerlines and meter on my old, tiny house for under $200 of which I wouldn't have done. AND, all the wood from the tree turns out to be 1/2 the wood my son needed for winter firewood. He's an amazing God!
@mariapombo And a purpose. During the big wind storm in Indian from the hurricane in the Gulf, a gust of wind cracked half of a huge tree on my property. It fell on the powerline and snapped my line to the house. I was 3 days waiting for electric but we had to replace the box and wires to the roof (the company did it to the house).
@RoseofSharon Welcome.
@sinbach @Miracle17 Had to chuckle sinbach on well to the REBELLION! It may be funny now but no so much in the future!
@speakthetruth Even meats offered to idols can be eaten if the Christian's conscience is strong in Christ but if a brother could be stumbled, we are to abstain for other's sake. And this is true for any freedom. And I surely won't serve pork to you little brother :).
@speakthetruth Fred, you are free in Christ not to eat pork. But the New Testament is clear, all meat is clean now if prayed for and received with thanksgiving. The Lord gave Peter the vision that all meats (& people) are clean now. Galatians speaks about going back under the law. The dietary directives of the New Testament are found in Acts: nothing strangled, no eating or drinking of blood, and abstain from fornication.
