I was so touched a iTown church last night in Noblesville. They took an offering at the Christmas service and said this, "if there is anyone in need feel free to take money from the bucket. If there is not enough money in the bucket for your need, please talk to one of the pastors of this church - they have money that they are ready to give to those in need this Christmas."
I have been in ministry for years and have never seen this before.
Thoughts?????

My friend and neighbor just died rather unexpectedly. She is survived by her husband, kids and grandkids. She was so very full of life it seemed, a real go getter. She is a sister in Christ and was finishing building a house to retire in. So many unfinished plans. Our lives are but a vapor, don't assume there's a tomorrow.

William Hunter - a martyr burnt to death in Brentwood, England at the age of 19 on 27 March 1555. He got into a dispute when discovered reading the Bible in Brentwood Chapel refusing to accept the dogma of transubstantiation. He was sent to London for trial but refusing to recant he was returned to Brentwood to be burnt. His story is recorded in Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. Foxe gives a figure of 300 martyrs between 1553 and 1558 many of them being inhabitants of Essex.

@TexasTruthTeller @Kat613 Please don't misunderstand me. When you hear the name 'Yeshua', don't think that it is against Bible. It is the same name 'Jesus' in another language. So respect that name.
That is what I tried to say.
@TexasTruthTeller @Kat613 'Yahweh', the God of the Israelites, whose name was revealed to Moses as four Hebrew consonants (YHWH) called the 'tetragrammaton'. Christian scholars after the Renaissance and Reformation periods used the term 'Jehovah' for 'YHWH'. That is why KJV use the name 'Jehovah'.
In the 19th and 20th centuries biblical scholars again began to use the form 'Yahweh'.

@TexasTruthTeller @Kat613 Originally Bible is not written in English. Old Testament is written in Hebrew and New Testament is written in Greek.
English Bible is translated from these languages. English is not the original language of the scripture.
@TexasTruthTeller @Kat613 'Yeshuva' is the Hebrew name of Jesus. Meaning is 'God the Saviour'. In English it became 'Jesus'. In other languages it will again change. Also the name Joshua also has the same meaning- 'God the Saviour'.

BTJ has launched a clandestine operation to help those believers living in closed nations.
Though we can't give details about the nature of the project, we are asking for your prayers.
