@Chidiotamiri It reminds me of the woman the wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair, Jesus honored her.
There were the two Mary’s, and one broke the alabaster vile and anointed him. The last place he chose to stay before going to the cross was the one Mary’s house, and the first person He appeared to was the other Mary. Neither Mary had much of a ministry that we know of, and yet they ministered to the heart of Jesus so deeply that they were the ones he chose to be with before he died, and to appear to first upon his resurrection.
I don’t think the disciples fully understood what He was about to go through, even though He told them plainly, yet Mary who sat at his feet and soaked up every word, loved Him, and listened and understood, and anointed Him in preparation for what He was about to suffer.
Women and men both have a very special place in His heart.
