I'm no author, but I think an interesting book would be...
"Scriptures we never hear from the pulpit."
Like Deuteronomy 14 where tithing is commanded... save 10%, go to the holy place, and spend it on whatever you want, including booze. 😎 That probably wouldn't help the building fund.
OR
Ezekiel 23... dont read that chapter out loud to the kiddos at morning devotion time
OR
Often quoted scriptures taken out of context... like..
"I can do all things through Christ..." doesn't refer to making the basketball team. But what does it refer to?
Can you think of more?
@bethany
I think we know someone who could pull off a book like that! He wouldn't even have to tell 6 more lies! 🤣
@Toddkapper That last one!!!
Or Song of Songs - only heard that mentioned from the pulpit once, and that was a pastor who labelled it as God's dirty book :-(
Since "all scripture is useful for teaching....." and on
So much missint content...or twisted content..,
@Toddkapper I actually totally agree! I remember seeing a series of sermons from Francis Chan years ago, where for several weeks he pulled these kinds of scriptures and talked about them with his church. Stuff you NEVER usually hear from a pulpit. It was uncomfortable and... refreshing at the same time, if that's possible 🤔
