All humans have some kind of fear due to upbringing, environment, beliefs, etc... What is "cautious preparation" for one is "irrational fear" to another.
Then we criticize each other for "negligence" or "over-reaction."
We all have to mitigate our individual fears.
Some wear masks, some wear guns. Some buy insurance, some buy gold. Some "take a stand" on social media, some prefer to switch platforms.
I grew up with a fear of having children. So I mitigated that fear at age 20. Irrational or smart?
What's the difference? Fear is fear.
Someone has counted 365 "do not fear(s)" in the Bible. How does that play out in our daily lives?
@biblexplorer Seriously, today I visited a church. Twice, someone on stage asked to see a show of hands, then put his hand above his eyes to block the stage lights to see the hands.
Then he said, "We are a family and we want to know you better. So scan the QR code on one of the 3 giant screens and make an appointment for a 'coffee connection'. Now let's watch the teaching for today from our executive pastor about living supernaturally natural." 🙄 What's an executive pastor?
Thing is, the church had about 200 attendees and is in a town of only 4500 people. 🤔
Will someone please explain?
Why do churches keep the lights dim or off? Are they trying to set a romantic mood? Keep us from being able to see our own Bibles? To create a "show" atmosphere? Really... I dont get it.
Are they trying to make up for their lack of genuine anointing and family with a Sunday morning show?
Sorry... maybe it's just me.
@sinbach
Do you have any plans to come to Illinois?
@sinbach
I've been to 14 countries, but there are about 180 I haven't been to. I've always wondered... why do the prophesies that go around always have to do with the US and not other countries? Are there those in Russia, China, Sweden, or especially the Middle East who dream and prophesy these kinds of things in their respective countries? Why is the US always "judged" when there are many others worse than the US? (I've lived in India, and Eastern Europe, Turkey... I know) any thoughts?
