Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.
Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.

I'm requesting prayer tonight.
I'm feeling a little down and feeling the pressure of things around. My wife and our 4 children and I are planning on moving to Brazil in around 100 days from now. We believe we have heard from the Lord over a period of a few years.
We already have our plane tickets (SkyMiles used), we are working on moving out (less than 2 months remains on our lease), I still have a crud-ton of debt that I am believing for God to miraculously remove or help with so that I can leave no debt unpaid. I have not received exact details from the Lord on what I will be doing there (ministry or small store or both or import/export).
A little background: I was invited to preach in Brazil a little over 10 years ago and went towards the end of 2011, well needless to say, the Holy Ghost revealed to us that the Pastor's daughter would be my wife (on the day before leaving from a 2 week mission), and almost 10 years later, we are 9 (happy) years married and have 4 children......

The Gospel is good news. However, for many church-going people, the Gospel WAS good news. Once upon a time, back when they “got saved” it was good news. Today, joy, peace, comfort, security, approval and all sorts of things are sought from much lesser entities than Christ. Media, Money, Pleasure, insurance, man’s approval, etc. Revival begins as soon as we return to the fountain of living water. Jesus is good news for right now. Jesus is good news TODAY. Every other source of strength is an idol.

Let us worship Jesus as the one and only this morning.

Almighty and gracious God and Father,

we know you are the God of compassion and faithful love.

We know Jesus was a living demonstration of your love for all people.

We beg, we plead, that the animosity of people toward Christians today can be overcome through our acts of genuine and loving compassion demonstrated toward the least, the last, and the lost of our time.

May we be known as people who not only love each other, but also love those whom our world overlooks, shuns, and forgets.

I ask this in Jesus' name and to continue his legacy. Amen. 🙏
