A perfect lunch salad with chicken! I am hungry after teaching between 8.15 and 11.30. Happy to be back on campus (even if we have to wear masks) after teaching and meeting on Zoom for 1,5 years. And one reason is that I can have lunch out instead of cooking (there is no restaurant where we live in a village). Even if I cook with my husband it's not fun or romantic weekdays when we want to focus on work. Sometimes we sit quietly in our own thoughts fully focused on our upcoming meetings or things we are working on at the moment. In addition he is an introvert engineer who easily forgets to socialize when he is in a creative mode. 😂

@tanjaostman are there any vaccination requirements for campus' in Finland? It seems to be a growing trend in a number of countries

@bethany luckily no vaccine mandates in Finland! Then I would lose my job... They have been very pushy, so a majority have got the vax. On Friday we will hear what they say about the vaccine passports. They have not canceled them, but seems like they won't be taken into use unless there is a high incidence. Finland is in between the liberal countries (like the rest of the Nordic countries) and the strict like Canada. But we haven't seen the end yet.

@tanjaostman that's good to hear that it's not being mandated there. There are certain situations here where the gov have now mandated vaccines, like for healthcare workers, so hopefully those mandates won't increase (this is coming from someone fully vaccinated).
Is your feeling that the vaccine passport won't be implemented in Finland?

@bethany I hope that they keep what they promise in this article, then it's good news! You can read the last part (under the last subheading). They say it will be temporary until new year, and maybe not needed at all. In addition not for children under 16. They have given the vaccine to 12-year-old children.yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/fin
