Where I'm from in the UK, some people have a super strong Yorkshire accent. I saw this in a restaurant last night - believe it or not, it IS English.

I finished The Insanity of God a couple days ago - such a great book about the persecuted church.
"Stoyan stared back at me and said "Son, that's the debt of the Cross. I took great joy that I was suffering in my country, so you could be free to witness in your country."
Then he raised his voice in a way that would live with me forever:
"Don't ever give up in freedom what we would have never given up in persecution! And that is our witness to the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ!"
I find myself in the strange position of recommending yet another Christian movie which is SO not something I often do.
A couple years ago, they turned The Case for Christ into a movie. I watched it last night, expecting little, but was totally proved wrong. They did a great job with it. Recommend the watch!

I love seeing this view from the office each morning (don't let the sun deceive you - it is freeeezing here).
If I'm being totally honest, I usually stay away from Christian movies - I don't make it to the end of most.
BUT, I watched War Room years ago and always come back to it. Has me in tears every time. Seriously, so worth watching.

You ever visit really old places and think about how different life must have been for the people who lived right where you're standing?
Anyway, this was a monastery from the 14th Century. Pretty amazing some of it is still around
Everyone has that one person who always gravitates to suuuuper long movies for no reason... I switch off after the two hour mark (@sinbach yes this is aimed at you)
I LOVE buying used books for this reason. I recently picked up The Case for Christ (Lee Strobel), and found this note inside.
"This is a story of a man critically searching for the truth and interpreting it from a legal standpoint. I thought you may find it interesting and possibly enlightening! Much Love."
The back reads: "I'm not going to check you have read it. It's totally up to you. Comes with a hug though"
I really pray whoever was given this book, found their way to the truth of Christ.
"Let it be a rule of your life to visit the Bible and the throne of Grace every day."

This has been on my bookshelf for a while, but I'm SO glad I chose to end out the year with this book.
