@sinbach too many innocent women are killed in Finland and Sweden by their husbands, boyfriends and exes. Ordinary people don't carry guns here since it's not allowed (except from for hunting). It's a tricky thing to defend yourself in these two countries, because if you use "excessive force" when trying to defend yourself, you can be more punished than the perpetrator. So you may defend yourself but know exactly how hard you can hit the perpetrator so that he won't hurt too much or die. How easy is that when your life is threatened?

You could teach your children to look to NBA and Hollywood stars as their heroes, OR you could read to them stories about modern day missionaries who give up everything to share the Good News with those that have never heard.

Dear DingDash family, please keep us in your prayers today. I am here in the US writing Meriam Ibrahim's story. Not an easy story. Yesterday was filled with emotion and tears as Meriam talked about being born in a refugee camp, her father brutally murdering her aunt for an honor killing, her mother being tied up for two days and raped, and her running away and hiding to escape circumcision - only to be forcefully dragged back to the village and the Muslim elders publicly witnessing her genital mutilation - and this was all before she was even 7 years old!
We can use all the prayers we can get for this project.

I have to be honest, as I "briskly" walk the streets here, the anger of my presence is palpable and is made vocal with hisses and unintelligible comments, but the love of Christ is greater. Hate is the sign of darkness and the greater the darkness the greater the need for the love of Christ.
