@Mmetz Dear Lord surround this husband with Your presence. May his heart respond to you. Send him help from your sanctuary. Heal him in spirit, soul, body, relationships and finances. Comfort, protect and guide his family into all truth. Lord let your perfect will be done in each life. In Jesus name I ask. Amen.

@mcseport@brighteon.social Praise the Lord. Enjoy the throne room, there is nothing like it.

This is my (Psalm 78:6-8). Inspite of this global season I can say I am grateful and contented. Grateful my name is in the Lamb's book of life, for God's presence, and for the many answers given. Contented in my inheritance in Christ, and for God's lavish generosity allowing sharing with others.
Each who has made Christ Lord is like a cactus growing in desert places. Only God causes things to grow in desert places. As a cactus we thrive, spread and abound in this season. Why? Because united with Christ we were made for desert places. The toxicity of the soil, extreme daytime heat, nighttime frost, and limited annual rainfall all work together for good, causing us to launch forward into new dimensions.
Many desert plants have salt pumps in God's manifold wisdom to pump out excess toxic salts allowing the toxicity to stay outside. The leaves as spines reduce water loss, water as a matrix in the flesh resists freezing and drought. To become a cactus submit to 2 Peter 1:1-13.

Investigate which persons, cities, people groups, and countries have been hardest hit to date. What do they have in common?

The only way to ride the waves is to flee idolatry. God will not be mocked even by His own Church. Count the costs of idolatry to determine if you and your family can afford to pay.

Revelation 22 lists those who are unable to enter God's city because of dirty robes. Many violate the 5 sins of idolatry, but Exodus 20:4 is either ignored, unknown or blatantly rejected. If you are an object of wrath because of idolatry you cannot escape. COVID19 is not judgement it is correction. God rejects idolatry and calls for repentance Acts 17:22-31 - ignorance of God's word is no excuse.

@Matt songs based on balanced interpretation of scripture transform the landscape and the people who hear them. I long for songs based on the whole counsel of God- songs that inform of our inheritance in Christ.

In building I acknowledge that I have limits and do not allow others to push me beyond those coping limits.

I also recognize that I must respect the limits of others.

In building I must acknowledge and do what is in my power to do.

I should not focus on what I am powerless to do.

In building we must separate what we are responsible for and what we are not for.

We are only responsible for what we can change.

Verse 17 might be a lot easier than we think if I start right where I am

@ChristopherJHardwick
Power-capacity to hold, become, have, do e.g. John 1:12
Love-it anchors, knits, binds and builds e.g. Col. 2:2;3:14
Sound mind-self control, self discipline and balance to approach life and godliness in a tempered way so challenges and adversity don't hinder building/edifying e.g. 2 Tim 1:8
Power may edify/tear down 2 Cor. 13:10. Power is made constructive by love. Love comes before self control (not in the addition to our lives 2 Peter 1:6) but is first in terms of usefulness and function.
Without God's power it can't be done. Power with no love as a leash is a runaway horse. Love is to build 1 Cor. 8:1. With no power, love can't show achievement.
Nehemiah knows each construction has hindrances (Satan, people, life, circumstances). The power to build can be challenged by outside beings and forces. Only the self disciplined, sound mind can steadily navigate when ground conditions are unfavorable. Without self control the work is abandoned as outside forces win.

@ByGraceAlone thanks for sharing. It's good to have evidence to back up what you already discerned.

I appreciate the Word the Lord spoke more and more ... by their fruit you will know them.
