@sinbach We've been taught this, but not just to eat what's on the plate, but to only put on the plate what you need. Or, you are teaching others to be gluttoness and that is a sin. We didn't allow our children to refill their plates until they had finished everything on the plate. And we directed the children by filling their plates until they were old enough to fill it reasonably. And we didn't hestitate to 'whoa' if they were taking too much. If they didn't finish something - next meal!

@sinbach I think there are far more creative ways to make a point! Maybe teach about portions and ways to preserve leftovers properly or prepare over meals with leftovers... I must say,.... She looks like she's eating a snake! (Not in my meat diet!!!!)
