We have A LOT of snow on our patio/terrace (or what do you call it in English??). We start to empty it a little so we can put chairs there in a month or so, as the sun 🌞 gets stronger. In the Nordic countries we are sun worshippers. 😉😁 We love it, because we don't have too much of it.
@tanjaostman Where we live, snow is very rare in the valley. Sometimes there is in the mountains but a few days a year. The sun, on the other hand, is powerful in summer and even in winter there can be days with a temperature of 15 degrees. From the month of May it can be 30 degrees. We have a lot of sun ... if you want, we can give you some ...😀😀😀☀️☀️☀️
@tanjaostman it would depend what it was built with, and where it was built
granted i'm no expert on this lol but i'd refer to them as follows
a decked area would have timber underfoot
a terrace would be raised and not flush with the ground floor
a balcony would be first floor or higher
a patio would be ground level, but probably slabs or concrete
to be honest, sitting area works for me 😂

@Berrybunchfamily @tanjaostman our patio is ground level and made of flat Slade of rock, our deck is about 3 feet off the ground made of wood. But!! "Outside there where the chairs are in the sun" works just as well!🤣

I live the sun too! I've always said if I wasn't a Christian I'd worship the sun! 🤣
