On May 1, 2018, Huldah's husband, Abraham, didn't return home. The next day, his beheaded body was found. It is believed that Hindu radicals falsely told a Maoist group (Naxalites) that he was a police informant. The Maoist group, who generally oppose the government, killed him.
Pray for Huldah and her two adopted children as they continue in ministry and cope with such a great loss.
Advice for wives:
When a woman desires to change a man, she is essentially communicating an attitude of superiority towards him. “If only he was as neat/spiritual/smart/thoughtful as I am!”
Her demands, criticisms, not-so-subtle hints, comparisons, and constant nagging accomplish nothing. Instead of eliciting a change within his heart, these tactics almost always have the opposite effect.
More than anything else, a man wishes to be accepted for who he is. Instead of focusing on any faults, a woman can accept her man by always seeking to look towards his better side.
In respecting his convictions, preferences, dreams, abilities and ways of doing things, she communicates both honor and respect.
Learning how to be an excellent wife requires a tremendous amount of humility. Without this foundation, change will be difficult! A woman striving for virtue must always possess a teachable heart. Only then can she ever hope to be her husband’s crown and dearest companion.

Tonight my son got home and was sharing his his feet hurt after a long day! His little daughter (only two years old) overheard him and said “ go sit down Daddy! I’m a doctor and I’ll help you”. She helped him sit down and then got her toy stethoscope and bandaids. And made Daddy all better!
Her love for medical runs in our blood. Most of us love solving medical issues for people and children that we see or deal with here in China!
I love moments like these!
This precious man won our hearts today! And we were able to bring a lot of smiles to his beautiful brown face! He is 83 years old! And sitting outside in the cold selling vegetables he grew! It was a great joy to buy from him. His hands were brown and cracked from his hard work, and his half toothless grin is amazing! He was so excited to talk to a Foriegner. He has lived a very hard life ( his whole generation has).
We will be looking for him each week and hopefully we can be a Blessing in his life!
These are pictures we took at an orphanage we visit to help. Our hearts break as we wipe dirt or dry vomit off their little bodies. Or unleash them from a chain holding them to the wall so they can’t move more than a foot away. Or tend their oozing infections in their mouths, feet or wherever. When I have one of these little ones near me all I feel is love and compassion. To tend them with the most Jesus love possible. We can’t go see them right now because of covid. I hate covid. But when I PRAY, I ASK GOD TO SHEILD THEIR MINDS AND HEARTS and to help them feel HIS LOVE regardless of what humans are doing. And I BELIEVE with ALL MY HEART that God answers and honors these prayers. For HIS heart breaks even more than mine.
So Christians please care! As a church we CAN make a difference. We can adopt. We can support financially. We can help physically. We can pray. We can advocate.
Or We can forget and look away.
My thoughts from China tonight.
***URGENT TIME SENSITIVE NEED!****
I can't believe it! We are in danger of having no van!Our city has new rules and we must get rid of our van! It has an emissions problem that is a design flaw.
WE MUST have a van! Here are some reasons:
-work is so far away that he cannot use buses to travel.
-Joshua's emergency seizures. trips to the hospital and health needs.
-No more orphanage outreach :-(
-Our family can't fit a car - we are 7 people.
-There are ministry needs that I am not free to share.
WE are looking into options, but**BUT WE ONLY HAVE 14 DAYS* until we must hand our van over.
So I am starting this fundraiser immediately!
I do not want to use GOFUND ME because they take almost 3%.!
We we will need to raise approximately $9000.
If you can help here is the link:

PLEASE know that we are thankful from the bottom of our hearts! We know God wants the people in China touched even MORE than us!
The Weaver Family!
Tears fall. Today was already hard for many reasons. But tonight I saw this picture and tears fell like a silent waterfall.
This is little YuanHao. He was a precious little baby who was born with anal atresia ( no opening). He was cruelly brought to the brink of death 3 times before we got the phone call asking if we would care for him! In this picture he is almost a year old. When we got him he only weighed 6.5 lbs at 9 months of age. With love and care he learned to smile, and even laugh.
We got the blessing of loving him until he went to heaven due to internal organ failure.
It’s amazing how there is always a place in our hearts for each child we care for that will never go away.
🌹And can still bring tears🌹
See the before picture and after:
Difference between North American hospitals and Chinese:
1. No triage system
2. Bathrooms offer no toilet paper.
3. Bathrooms have cold water only. If it works.
4. No soap. 😖 No hand sanitizer. No paper towels.
7. No western toilets. Only acrid smelling squat toilets.
9. Family drives the beds, take the temp, hold IV bags up in the air when the IV poles are all in use etc
11.You get all your results within the hour
12. Most times you see the specialist Doctor that same hour if you need one.
13. Hygiene with staff is 20 years behind.
14. There are no wheelchairs in the emergency department
15. They burn incense in the bathrooms.
16. You have to pay for everything before you get it. For example before you have IV or oxygen you need to buy the needle, the tourniquet band, the lines, the IV bags, the med and oxygen and mask. Then upon receipt you get the use.
18. AND NO PRIVACY AT ALL.about 8 people all group together, watchand listen to learn what’s wrong with one another
We have had a crazy couple of weeks here!
We were able to spend some time with a young person and give them a Bible. So exciting!
However here in China, it’s getting harder and harder all the time for us and our Chinese brothers and sisters.
One thing that has really irked me lately is how many Americans and Canadians are crying out “ our country is communist now”
And here were are in China shaking our heads saying “ ummm nope! Your nothing like here!”
Maybe things could head that way but for now it’s nothing like living in a country with millions of cameras tracking every move, guards everywhere, police everywhere, and a gov always watching, citizen credit scores, etc., social pressure that is absolutely intense, 99% conviction rate, and you can get life in prison for stealing a bike if they feel like it.
Just a few thoughts.
China is filled with beautiful people. Precious souls. They suffer here more than you know.
Blessings
The flooding in China is crazy!
It is going to impact China in many ways! Many people are missing! Many people have drowned, as most Chinese do not know how to swim. There are people crying out for help to find their loved ones! Entire Farms have been washed away! Apparently millions of livestock have drowned or been basically standing in flood waters unable to eat for days! This will once again create a lack of food! Entire crops gone! Entire livelihoods washed away! We will be looking at price increases for food here once again! At the beginning to Covid they went high but have been slowly coming back down......but this will once again change things!
Chinese Christians are banding together and helping in the most beautiful sacrificial ways! It brings me to tears as I hear reports of brothers and sisters racing to the flood frontlines to help!
this small video is nearby where we live and it is nothing compared to Henan flooding! Our friend sent it....
PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY~! And all the firemen, police , ambulance, medical and frist responders as they are traumatized also.
They were having a bonfire when the dad went to add gasoline to the fire as it was not starting. And explosion happened and the Dad, Mom, 1 year old and 4 year old girl, and 6 year old boy were all injured. The children and mom have life threatening burns and the baby just died after surgery.
We were best friends in Canada with 2 of the first firefighters that arrived on scene and have been in contact. They are taking it very hard.
Blessings

Today while driving we noticed a man who was in need of help! He had a 2 inch gash made by sheet metal right beside his eye! It is a miracle it did not slice his eye and render him blind! So we rushed him to emergency! His friend who came along asked us why we would help like this? And why would we not accept money for the drive? It’s was so wonderful to give him the answer! We are Christians and we cared about his friend when we saw he was cut and hurting! And we told him more! About how God cares about them! And it was His design and timing that we were there at the exact moment they needed help!
It was such a blessing! Please pray for him and his friend, that what they heard today will bless them! That God can reach down even more and bring them new life! Amen!
We saw this movie tonight. It was like stepping back into the early days of covid for me. Living in China...hearing there was some type of unknown sickness....running to the grocery store to buy foods and needs - only to see empty shelves or long lines and others scurrying for what they needed like us...empty streets with no cars or people in our busy city...the creepy silence outside... everyone staying inside their homes... the lack of airplanes above our heads...it brought it all back for me...
Our medical workers are hero’s. First responders. People who clean hospitals...delivery people who worked overtime here in China delivering food, needs & meds to homes.
I cried at least 6-7 times by how people helped one another during those first months of crisis! drs trapped within the walls of the hospital for months. Everyday caring for patients while not knowing what they were dealing with. Those first few months were ...to say the least...scary here in China. Family and Life are gifts..
