Painful sides when I blow my nose. I haven't coughed much, but when you do MAN is it agressive - it catches you off guard (I've been so careful to breathe through my nose as much as possible, although a runny nose has frequently kicked that one into touch)
Haven't had painful sides (from coughing) like that for MANY years
Steven has nearly lost his voice, and is feeling generally run down
Nathan struggling with temperature fluctuations
Peter is looking run down, and is very slow (we miss his joyous smile! :-( )
Jo is perking up a bit, but her cough, while pretty mild, is causing her upset
I even went outside to empty a bin...very slowly, and cos we couldn't get any more in it!!
I'm hoping these are positive signs, but I'm equally aware that good moments are followed by bad ones, so none of us are taking any improvements for granted
@tanjaostman tea tree oil is simply amazing! We will look into that room infuser thingy you mentioned at some point
@tanjaostman no - no help with housekeeping
@tanjaostman we have no family on either side in our lives. And no local friends...it's just us, as it's been for over a decade now
@Berrybunchfamily I pray that you will get good friends where you live (or going to move)! It's great to have friends on social media, but we all need to meet others in person as well!
@tanjaostman very true!
@Berrybunchfamily Is it OK to make some statements without 'head and tail' ?We live a cross cultural life due to business and ministry responsibilities. many people cheated us, took advantage of our generosity, spread false stories about our reasons for not sharing full details of our ministry pattern and people.Ignored us during our time of need . Though difficult ,we kept the communication doors open with even those who left us. After a period of time, we've noticed that we have more people to help us than the local ministries and organizations. Though we don't give 'free handouts' , many families started sharing their extra Bread, butter, veggies and wheat with us.
Even during the season of rejection we invited people to share food with us. My wife kept baking cakes and shared with people whom we wanted to minister to.
Coming back to your story, yes it is more unbearable when we are physically weak and we don't have enough resources and no neighbors or friends to stand with us.
@Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter it's 3am here and I'm fully awake - didn't sleep last night, and ended up sleeping for many hours during the day, which explains my not being sleepy right now!
there seem some similar experiences, yes
for our part, we eventually gave up trying to keep channels open....people see what they see, and it became more than worth it to keep explaining - the judgements come all the more!
God has provided us with some AMAZING supporters, via DingDash - people who not just pray from afar, but encourage us and love us in ways you'd only normally expect from people you've physically met
God is good, and those that need to know the truth of our journey hold us up as good examples of faithful people...but it isn't always possible to go into enough detail with everybody
we've been walking in faith for well beyond a decade, any many don't do well seeing how we live, because it isn't the norm
it's taken a while, but we're ok with that
thanks for your prayers and words!
@Berrybunchfamily @tanjaostman covid is so crazy how it effects ppl so differently. Even within my family, some were totally knocked down while one brother and his wife built a big storage shed while he had to be off work!
I'm so sorry you all got hit so hard! I'm grateful you all are healthy to begin with!!
@MaryMamuzich @tanjaostman it's very bizarre! I've only had flu a few times. The last time was a moving day, in the snow....which we had to do in our own - there was no help and no possibility of delaying....
@Berrybunchfamily @tanjaostman I remember that moving story - so awful! My heart is always thinking and praying for all of you.
@MaryMamuzich @tanjaostman God is good! 🙂
We make our choices, but many people haven't liked some of ours
That's okay, cos they're missing out, not us ;-)
@Berrybunchfamily I am so sorry that you have to go through this! And I suppose you don't have anybody outside of the family helping you with houskeeping. I'm glad that you trusted me and bought tea tree oil! I have used it for years. I've got a book in Swe about TTO. It says that those who were growing TTO during WW2 didn't have to do military service, because it was regarded even more important to have enough TTO. The armies used it to treat wounded soldiers. It was used until the 1940s, when it was replaced with antibiotics. (But antibiotics kill only bacteria, not viruses). TTO kills both viruses, bacteria and fungus. You can use a diffuser (that is spreading mist in the room) for essential oils, and a nebulizer (that you put to your mouth) for the colloidal silver.
