Family Matters Podcast Trailer, Episode 1!

Check it out --> berrybunch.org/Articles/664950

What's coming up this week on our very first Family Matters Podcast?

This is the first ever Family Matters podcast! To launch this podcast the BerryBunch begin by introducing who they are collectively and individually. Somehow, they make it more complicated than it needs to be. Especially Jo!

Family Matters is created by our family for your family.

Special Guest Andy Godfrey brings some order to the podcast with a movie review on Fast X, Good News Stories from the Good News Newspaper and Faith with Action tips.

The BerryBunch, with Andy Godfrey

Just 3 more days until our Brand New podcast launches.

Family Matters is 3 x bite size portions that you can slowly savour over the course of a day, or rapidly consume in one go if you think appetite can take it 😁.

We've got our friend, and Sorted Magazine contributor - @a.godfrey.16 - bringing us Movies Reviews, Good News and Faith with Action ideas for the whole family, whatever that looks like for you.

Plus, we've got the High and Low game you can hear us play each week on our regular, Sunday, Konnect Radio Show, as well as plenty of BerryBunch banter about life and family from the BerryBunch Bunker.

Join us on the first Saturday every month, from 2pm (UK), however you'd usually listen to podcasts. And, of course, you'll be able to listen via our website too - BerryBunch.org.

Cliff College Festival: Saturday

A good day and having some great conversations. Giving away plenty of the magazines we've bought to give away (Sorted Magazine) and our free sunflower growing kits

Jo is great and is doing a great job getting people to take the free stuff we have here to give away.

God is good!

PS that green field is the car park...in the beautiful county of Derbyshire and specifically the Peak District...breathtaking scenery!!!!!!

If youve enjoyed Pride and Prejudice, Mr Darcy's house was in Derbyshire ..

The BerryBunch is at Cliff College (seminary) in the beautiful county of Derbyshire for the weekend at their annual festival - they've been doing these for a century!!

Just Nathan and me today, but we'll all be here across the weekend in our first, ever, BerryBunch exhibition stand.

God opened a door, so we walked through it.

It's often been said that when we pray we get one of three answers: Yes, No or Wait. I wonder where this one fits in with those three usual response.

A Prayer Answered Before It Was Prayed

We've been praying about how to fund replacement microphones for the ones we've been using to create buff.ly/3FF9kUE Video Resources: we wanted some Lavalier Microphones (miniature lapel placed microphones) because the ones we had been using sounded amazing, but were large and not helpful for the aesthetics of our video ie great for radio and podcasting, but not so great for video!

There was one major issue - we couldn't afford to buy the new microphones!...]READ MORE]...

Our car broke down. We’ve got a pretty good bus network and timetable. But, daily life – for us – and with no money for repairs, were left stranded for, potentially, several months.

God had other plans!...[READ MORE]...

I have a happy spot I can cycle to from our home. It faces the North Sea (UK) so the weather can vary quite a bit!

It's a regular chatting-with-God-place for me.

Today, it was bright and sunny through overcast clouds, with a gentle, warm breeze.

The sea was out today at the beach, but I stand on a small cliff - the sound of the waves crashing on the sand was idyllic.

Blessings y'all

Hey up DingDashers

How's people doing today? What you up to? And where in the world (roughly) are you doing it (I totally get security!)?

I'm in the North East of the UK, and catching up on some literature [hand outs] and mail from the past few weeks, and a week a a big Christian convention

My older two boys are at a bible study (called the Alpha Course - originally from the UK and a great way to grasp the basics of the Christian faith, or revisit those basic tenets of our faith, which is why my boys are involved)

My little son is mastering a rubicks cube!

PS The photo is an old one from a our last holiday, as I can't find anything current ones on my computer!

This one comes from Dave from the4points.com

Each week I go round lots of different homes in Toxteth to pray for local families. Last week one lady who was visiting a friend said, “I don’t know if I’m a Christian.”

So I asked her, do you believe that God loves you? She said yes.

Then I asked her, have you ever done anything wrong, the Bible calls this sin. Yes of course, she replied.

Do you believe that Jesus died and rose again, to take away your sin and give you eternal life? Again she replied yes.

Then God prompted me to read, Romans 10:9
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

I explained that she...[READ MORE]...

Today's Testimony Tuesday post is a recent one for the BerryBunch, and is a reminder for us to all keep on praying.

Keep. On. Praying.

We'd been praying for a good number of years to be able to get our older two boys to some Christian Festivals. All to no avail, however, as we never had the money needed.

Until we did!...[READ MORE]...

Holidays and Faith don’t equal Holidays from Faith

I was once talking with someone about their faith. They told me how their faith naturally developed over time. And, yet, their faith seemed more like that of a first time visitor to a church, amazed by the stained glassed windows and high ceilings, over Jesus having died on a cross for the sin in their life.

Faith has to be actively nurtured and tested, and tested means refined and I’ve never found a refinery which has great parking, and is secreted with lounger chairs and barista quality coffee.

Yes, our relationship with Jesus will grow over time; the Fruit of the Spirit does grow ‘spontaneously’ and without any direct effort on our part – at one level. But it certainly does grow as a direct consequence of our active, and ongoing, relationship with Jesus Christ...[READ MORE]...

While we were away on holiday for 3 weeks (yes it was awesome having so much time off in one go) we had some inspiration during the first week. Two of those things are longer term projects I won't be sharing about yet (but am super excited about!) but one I can tell you is already live, and that is a website, just for me.

I love making video resources, but I do miss writing posts too, so this is an outlet for that, as well as being a place that lets me be creative in ways not connected with the BerryBunch.

I'm excited about it, and I haven't done much other than to make it go live!

So, go check it out, sign up to the blog, and you'll be able to know what I'm up to, especially those longer posts I'm aiming to start putting out once a week.

After a 3 week holiday the BerryBunch is back at it.

We may have been resting, but God sure doesn't, and for that I'm very glad!

Here's another of our Testimony Tuesday posts, of God's goodness - and how He is very much alive and at work today

This was a gift from my youngest son, after our road trip yesterday to an aquarium.

He knows I love penguins and he had decided to find me a penguin 'something' and found this in a gift shop, buying it with his pocket money.

He bought one too - for himself - so we can be penguin buddies 😊

So meet Dave the Penguin...

At least I think he is a Dave. But, whatever name I settle on, he'll live on my desk - next to my computer monitors - to brighten my view 🙂

Some BerryBunch News and a non video blog post...

This is something of an FYI (For Your Information) really: as I’m typing this I currently have no voice and my brain is slightly foggy so I’m not at most efficient either!

There’s also a few prayer requests at the bottom.

If there was a relevant message for us all here, it’s simply that Jesus withdrew in order to rest, and this is something we need to regularly do too.

If Jesus did it, we really need to do the same.
