I do hope you weren't offended by this. I was saying quite directly
that our greatest aim should be what Jesus taught us: to love one another. If I share a tract with you on the street it is only words on paper, even Scripture is just words if it isn't shared in love. We can show more of Jesus in us by a smile, a kind word or an act of kindness to someone who is hurting. A Bible verse quoted may be scorned, a gospel tract thrown away, but a genuine act of kindness is the love of Jesus that touches a heart. I hope this explains my devotional to you in fuller detail.
Let all that you do be done in love.

I too have not written letters/cards for some time, 21st Century media has slowly hijacked life, changing how we communicate with others. I too have been challenged in this area and will be looking to write to some folk this year, which will surprise them I am sure! @MaryMamuzich
I can relate to a lot of what you say Andy, but then again I have never been a fan of cards for Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary/New Home etc etc! In my opinion the variety of such cards pumped out by the industry have no real feeling in them. But, I do advocate cards being used properly with a nice handwritten message to give it a lovely personal touch. I suppose it all comes down to a card shows what the sender thinks or not, if they don't send one. In fact I get a printed card each year from a family member which really winds me up...argh!
I remember when my dad died we got lots of cards, but it was the letter written by a friend and delivered by hand with some home baking that had the profoundest effect on mum and myself. Basically, we have lost the personal touch in the 21st Century. @Berrybunchfamily
Thank you sister. @bethany
