It is one of our greatest sins that we regularly allow church to be boring. Boredom in church does not reflect the quality of Jesus. Jesus is not boring.
Music is amazing but it can be VERY boring. The difference in effort and passion. When a musician is passionate about his/her music, and when they work hard at it, the results are truly wonderful!
If we would put as much effort into our scripture reading, worship leading, preaching, and praying, as Eric Clapton puts into guitar playing, we will never be bored in Church again.
Life is so good, and also downright scary.
God created a good world, but also an exciting world. We can't have excitement without adversity. We can have meaning without consequence and resistance. Trials are the gift of good. Adversity is the source of excitement and meaning. We live in a world of good and evil. The adventure is found in the choice to commit to the good only.
Jesus said, "No one is good but God Alone" Mark 10:18
The most exciting adventure on which mankind could embark begins with an unrestricted commitment and a fully surrendered life to Christ.
If you have never fully surrendered, please do so today. The world needs you at your maximum potential which can only come through your life surrendered. Don't delay, tomorrow might be too late.
Before I called my podcast "The Faith of the Fathers," I called it "The Gospel For Planet Earth."

The Apostle Paul said to a
Congregation in Philippi: “...there wasn’t a single other church, except yourselves, that entered into a two-way partnership with me, giving and receiving.” (Philippians 4:15).
How much would our churches pay today to have the Apostle Paul come and preach? Talk about a headliner! Yet, in his own day, even many Christians were afraid to associate themselves too closely with Paul.
The faithful, mature, Church has ALWAYS been small. That doesn’t mean the church is small. Jesus described us as “sheep,” which is not flattering. But it is factual. Sheep need to be led. Don’t be discouraged if you feel alone or in the minority. If you are leading with courage and conviction, you are part of God’s “A team.” The Apostle Paul was also ostracized in his day. Today, billions of people read his words and attribute the status of “the word of God” to his letters. That is vindication!
Don’t look for the praise of men. To be praised by God is the prize.
I hear many Christians saying, "I don't expect any justice on this side of heaven." Why? Did God say that we shouldn't expect it? What if the problem is, "You have not because you ask not"? Will justice come on our time? Not likely. But it will come. Jesus said, "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free." Truth is justice and it ALWAYS comes eventually. Don't give up. The Kingdom of God is here.
