Why do Christian parents still send their kids to government propaganda schools? What is the justification? We must resist the allure of fancy buildings, big sports programs, public prestige, etc and seek first the Kingdom of God. I was on the Campus of the University of Tennessee this past Tuesday and what I experienced should embarrass anyone who promotes the halls of “higher learning.” I posted this article yesterday but I want to post it again today. The world does not need the “education” these kids are receiving.

Gather the kids! It's time for another life lesson with Safety Steve!
@sinbach from Back To Jerusalem joined me for an important conversation about Christians in the military and a particularly ANTI-Christian action our military leaders performed against Christianity in Afghanistan. Eugene argues that this action is THE REASON we failed to bring freedom to Afganistan.
This is remarkable. America doesn't have an election process at all. We have nothing more than an illusion.
What do your kids think you want from them? My wife asks our kids candid questions about my parenting while I was away.

@sinbach Eugene Bach is a Christian and former Marine sniper. (You know him, Ding-Dash family!) This militant description might seem like a contradiction to many Christians, but should it? Eugene joins me on this week's podcast to share about the fight that every man should have within himself.

Jesus never asks you to do something that He is not willing to do Himself. After all, Jesus said that He is “with us always, even to the end of the age.”
Always means always.
God told the Israelites that He “humbled them” and “tested them” in the wilderness by letting them go hungry and then feeding them mana from heaven that He might make them understand that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Does this seem like harsh parenting?
Consider that Jesus also went into the desert while fasting (Matthew chapter 4). Jesus also went hungry and lived on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
True leaders lead through example and sacrifice. True leaders share in the sufferings of the people they seek to lead. Thank God that He is Jesus, the Lord of all and the servant of all.
America is waking up, indeed.

My kids helped me write this song many years ago. We finally recorded it together this year.

“But my righteous one will live by faith; And if he hesitates, my soul will not delight in him.”
Hebrews 10:38
What causes us to hesitate in our faith? Is it not fear and pain?
I don’t like pain. I’m afraid of it. If moving forward means that I will experience pain, I usually hesitate.
Pain is like a financial debt; it’s guaranteed to come due. The only choice we have in regard to pain or debts is when and how much we will pay. If we shrink back from faith, we will still experience pain. It may be down the road, but it will come. If we delay in paying what we owe, there will be a much higher price to pay down the road. Jesus asks us to trust Him with our pain today so that we will not be crushed by it in the future.
One of the most important gifts a father can give his son is the discipline to endure painful experiences for the sake of long-term benefit.
Our father cares about us, and so, He urges us to move bravely into the future and not to shrink back.
