@sinbach good boy! May I ask a question as a non American? When is a former military counted as veteran? All that have served the country abroad, or after a minimum time of serving? In my country, the word veteran is associated with elderly people that used to war for Finland. When I was in school we collected money to veterans that had served during WW2. They are always invited to the presidential palace on Independence day Dec 6. Only a few alive...

@tanjaostman cool. yea in America, all former military members are considered veterans.

Lithuania is the most authoritarian state in Europe right now. Poor people. They were suffering under Soviet communist rule until 1990, when they became independent (again). Without the covid passport It's even difficult to buy groceries. Sometimes I feel like taking part of a bad movie because of what's happening around the world. It doesn't make sense. Last night I had nightmares and woke up with anxiety in the morning. I just had to start the day with worship songs and then focusing on work. I had read and heard too much yesterday, that upset me. So much suffering! I wouldn't be as anxious if I wouldn't have a child. I think of his (and all children's) future in this evil and weird world. One thing is for sure, it is more difficult to be young today than it was only ten years ago. And then comes this evil plandemic that makes young people kill themselves in despair. I don't feel depressed but extremely frustrated and sometimes anxious, like today.

@KarlGessler ok

We're starting to see something of an end...very weak still, but the boys are mostly better, or at least dramatically improving

Jo and I still have a cough, although mine is worse than Jo's. Managed to have it absent all day until I ate a piece of chicken and managed to breathe a little bit of it...took me 2 hours to come back to a regular breathing pattern again after that... so frustrating as I'd worked really hard all day on that!

On one of our SPIE Rigging operations around '97?
Always loved SPIE Rigging as a form of insertion.

The difference between right and almost right... Or like they @sinbach say in the BTJ podcast jingle "Even the devil will speak the truth for some purposes."

@bruster75 Alone but not alone. Such is the reality of real faith. Look at Abraham’s faith, or Moses, or King David. All of them knew that “aloneness” and all of them believed beyond the aloneness of themselves, in what God had told them and shown them what He would do. Remember that, because it is vitally important!

I am encouraged by the rest of the blog as well. Thank you for sharing.

I've been active on DD only since January (but created the account berore that). I think the situation in the world, and the FB scandals and censorship, have contributed to the speed I am "dinging". I am only 59 dings away from becoming a NINJA! 😀 💪

Just received these two pictures from the BTJ food distribution in Afghanistan.
PTL!

Happy Birthday to the today! In light of that, a timely Review: On Desperate Ground: The Marines at The Reservoir, the Korean War’s Greatest Battle bit.ly/3C6lj98

Just as Bartimaeus was, we are mocked by this unbelieving world. Let us have the faith and courage of Bartimaeus as we run to Jesus!
