Thank all of you for your prayers for our family. losing Debbie left a big hole in our hearts - that only God can fill. praying God brings His comfort to all of us. too many families are losing loved ones due to hospitals denying medicines that could save their lives. our church has lost 5 people to covid in 2
weeks - all were put on ventilators.
these families and our church need prayer
It’s amazing to think that Jesus is alive. That even his words are living. That his words are life. They resonate truth and Justice and the way to live forever. I could never find these words and the life they give me if it wasn’t for Jesus being alive. If it wasn’t for Holy Spirit being sent to me from Jesus himself because he lives I would not live.
Because he lives… I can face tomorrow.
Because he lives all fear is gone.
Because I know he holds the future and life is worth living just because he lives.
So, I live in him forever bound in love and unity with Holy Spirit and embraced as a son of the Father for eternity.
[Genesis 22:7-8, NLT]
7 Isaac turned to Abraham and said, "Father?"
"Yes, my son?" Abraham replied.
"We have the fire and the wood," the boy said, "but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?"
8 "God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son," Abraham answered. And they both walked on together.
[Psalms 23:1-3, NLT]
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3 He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
I’ve never seen anyone recite and preach the entire book of Ephesians word for word. Man that was powerful. That is what preaching should look like. Straight word! Righteous and relevant two thousand years later. It provokes me to jealousy when I hear it! In a healthy way.
@bethany I’m reading Holiness, his book. So good. A classic, but also revised in a new edition. Highly recommended.
[Nehemiah 2:20, NLT] I replied, "The God of heaven will help us succeed. We, his servants, will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no share, legal right, or historic claim in Jerusalem."
WE HAVE TESTED POSITIVE! I've had mild flu symptoms since last Thursday. I took a home test on Fri, that showed negative. I've been working so far this week, but felt tired, and worked shorter days. My husband had fever one night a couple of days ago, but he's been working as well (you don't easily stop him from working, as he has lots of deadlines and meetings). Our son (13 yrs old) has stayed home from school for two days because of symptoms, and last night he got fever. He's still got quite high fever. Tonight my husband wanted to take home tests, and we all three tested positive. None of us are injected with mRNA or have any particular health issues or diagnoses - so our immune systems are probably intact. But please remember us in your prayers anyway - especially Edvin who has fever!
I teach the Bible at a Christian high school. Today is the anniversary of the holocaust liberation day. So, I showed my students the video on YouTube.
My students asked
Teacher why are we watching this holocaust memorial video? It’s so depressing.
Because I worship a Jewish man who just so happens to be the King of the Jews.
Because I worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Because I worship the Holy Spirit who the Jew also acknowledges as Ruach HaKodesh.
Because I want to remember that God still loves His chosen children and has a plan to build them up again.
Let’s love others the way we love ourselves. And love ourselves rightly with integrity and honor for our Creator.
[1 Thessalonians 2:11-12, NLT]
11 And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.
12 We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.
2 vans at home and ready to load.
it's freezing cold here today - we're about to have a cooked breakfast before loading the vans throughout today
tomorrow we drive to our new home - anything up to around a 6 hour journey, and unload them
on Saturday we return the vans and drive back to our new home - around a 11-12 hour day
our car engine started playing up yesterday, but Jo made it to her last day of work and back, and we made it to the van hire place this morning.
we need another 500 miles or so out of the car, as we have no money for repairs (we suspect the last two, original, fuel injectors) and will need to find a garage once we've arrived at the new house. even if we had the money, garages are booking many days into the future anyway
plenty to pray for, and into, over the next 72 hours or so!!
we're certain God hasn't brought us this far to fall at the final hurdle, so we're holding to hope and Jesus!!

@sinbach Amen
@sinbach hiPERboly. Sounds like that. I guess you were saying “hyper bowl”. Kinda like super bowl but hyper? Question: how do you pronounce this? Colonel
I don’t know about you, but whenever I see a Jewish person listening to the words of Yeshua I am immediately filled with a sense of hope and anticipation. I feel as if Jesus did: will this Jewish man or woman finally come to me? Will they look at my words and see me or believe what they’ve been told from others and continue to refuse my name? This hope intensifies whenever I watch videos like this. I believe that if I ever had the opportunity to lead a Jew to Jesus I would weep with gratitude and thankfulness. Not that they received Jesus only, but that I would have such a privilege. Lord bless your people. Though you stumble them with the rock of your salvation be the humility they need to see their salvation in you while they lay in the ground. Amen.
