My youngest son is filling out a university application and it asks for his gender. It has 12 options to choose from!

@daniel i am not sure, but i can tell you which one will NOT give him the best chance - and it is the one that he chose.
@sinbach I had to do the same for my recent surgery! I wanted to write, "Surprise me", but being that I was going under the knife, it might not have been the best idea.
@messenjahofchrist wow! i have read how that can cause problems. for instance, there is an article about a man who came to the doctor with stomach cramps. the doctor, examined the man's vitals and gave a prescription for an upset stomach. it turns out it was a woman living as a man and "he" was pregnant. the baby died because it was not stomach pain - but labor. when it comes to medicine - we do NOT get to choose our own labels.
