Today is a special/proud day our home.
My son just signed the papers to be an officer in the US Marine Corps when he graduates University next year.
So proud!
I look forward to putting my Dress Blues back on once again (if I can still fit) to salute my amazing son.
@MaryMamuzich kind of you to say.
@sinbach Congrats! Semper Fi, didn't know you were a Marine!
@VeritasDomain I was!
3/1 STA PLT (don't know if they call it that still).
@sinbach wow awesome! Yes its stil called that; I was counseling one of our church young men who was with 3/1 but got out 2 years ago; good outfit
@VeritasDomain Thundering Third - "The Balls of the Corps."
@sinbach awesome!
@sinbach Hello Brother... I'm curious of your thoughts of serving modern America in that capacity currently? As a former Officer and Naval Submariner, I too am proud he desires to serve... with many children though I question the wisdom to "support and defend against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC", when our CINC I personally do not believe is in that capacity lawfully.
Not attempting to be critical or judgemental, these are simply some real questions I have been mulling over before the Lord... "How then should we now live"... what does it look like for us to live in Babylon?
Though the Lord never criticized Cornelius (Centurion) or the others He came into contact with, He also did not encourage military servitude but encouraged us to live seek peace and pursue it. My whole family serves/served, father is a Colonel, Uncle 2-Star... so I don't question these things lightly as it is my heritage.
Love you and the work God is doing in and through you and your house Brother!
@sinbach Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊🍾!
@sinbach my, how time flies…congratulations to you and your bride for being amazing, loving, supportive, godly parents… 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@sinbach I'm proud with you! This made me smile.
