Proud father moment! my son was just recognized by his school for saving the life of an inmate over the summer by performing CPR. they presented him with the life-saving ribbon.

Might not look like much, but my "new" bible is older than the state I was born in. I just bought this King James Bible from 1810 from a storage room in Stockholm - owners didnt know it was there.

I know that the book was full of historical stuff that can get dry, but we felt that it was important. after we published that book, i took a lot of heat from the Christian community for mentioning the Catholic missions to China and North Korea, but i truly felt that it would be disingenuous of us to ignore or disregard the mission efforts of the early Catholics or Eastern Nestorian church. God forgive us for our pride.

@speakthetruth @Knittinggrace i have studied it and i do not believe it should be in our Bible, because it is not referenced in the other canonized books. however, like the Greek Orthodox, Eastern Nestorians, Egyptian Coptics, Ethiopian Orthodox church, Chaldians, or Assyrian church - they all have historical writings that historicaly helped lead the Christians through hard times.

@Knittinggrace protestantism didnt start till the 16th century. without the evil Catholics you have quite the theological dance explaining how Christianity went absent from the world for over 1,000 years. while you are on that godless bloody crusade, be sure not to throw out your King James Bible when you learn the original included the Aprocropha.

@Knittinggrace I have already written extensively about this history in my books, BUT any Christian that would attack Catholics without knowing anything about the person except for the fact that they wear the label "Catholic" are either ignorant or dismissive of the massive charismatic revival taking place in Asia, forget the first 1,000 years of missions, disregard the sins and failures of protestants, push away potential allies, and foolishly divide instead of unite on the war for life.
