@sinbach you must be able to sleep on command! You are constantly in different time zones! I watch in wonder how the Lord will unfold His plan with this craziness.

Just arrived in Chicago tonight. So sad to see it this way after returning from Dubai and Istanbul that are in full swing.
Could the contrast be greater?

I think language changes you. To truly speak another language you often have give yourself over to another culture - to think differently. Sitting at a table last night, breaking bread and surrounded by amazing Chinese friends made me realize how much I have missed fellowshipping in the Chinese language.
I text and speak Chinese every day, but to be in fellowship together, eating, bonding - that is truly something else entirely.

Sooo looking forward to sharing with our friends tonight in Ecuador.

Feeling discouraged tonight, please pray for me.

On the plane yesterday I watched Downhill with Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus - which is a complete remake of a Swedish movie - which in my opinion - the Americans did better than the original. However, IF Hollywood is going remake a Swedish movie - it SHOULD be "438 Days." A powerful true story about the need for freedom of journalism. Even if you have to watch with English subtitles - this is a movie that is needed for 2021.
Available on YouTube with subtitles.

@gladflicka not a lot - about 20 lbs. but more importantly, my weight is stable and I am healthy. in 2017, I was on an upward trajectory with my weight with no end in sight. It became clear that I would not be able to run it off as I had always done in the past. I have never spent even one day of dieting in my life, but my wife convinced me to start doing LCHF with her (in America they call it KETO). The idea of eating meat and fat every day seemed super enticing, so I tried it for a few months and that has extended to a few years. i have since found that i no longer get mouth ulcers - something that I have had my entire life! i no longer shake when my blood sugar is low and I no longer have lock jaw. so many things in my body has changed for the better, so i do not think I will ever go back to eating carbs/sugar on a regular basis again. Of course I have cheat days (about once or twice a month), but I don't really desire those any longer. My taste buds have changed.
