Testimony Tuesday: Pray About It!

Recently, I’ve started praying about everything I’m about to do, or have already done.
I don’t mean I pray about every single thing, but most key things I do.

For instance: I pray before I start my Education – that I will remember what I learn and get good marks: I pray before I go for a journey – that I, and those with me, will have safe travels: or I might thank God, that there is food in the cupboards.

I try to thank God, after all the things I do.

One of the lessons I have learnt is to thank God for the jobs I have. One of them is hanging the washing on the line; I thank God that there are clothes to take out; that I am well enough to take the washing out; there is a means of washing our clothing.

Now that I pray before and after everything that I do. I have found that God is in more of my thoughts; I have a slightly better mindset of life and I don’t take things for grant...[READ MORE]...

One Life, Live It

Every year, on 9th June, we remember our daughter Magdi. She died at 11 weeks and beat us to heaven

Every year, I'm more convinced that the legacy she left behind for us - of living for today for we don't know what will happen tomorrow

Make the most of the life you have - you only get one of them!
With God we may get many 2nd chances, but still just the one life, so make it count and live

Yesterday we had an internet connection installed. The young lad who came saw his dad walk out at a few years old. He doesn't like the society he sees around him, especially the attitudes of people his age; he knows he had to become a dad to his little brother and wants to his own life the right way

He clearly doesn't know Jesus yet. But, his parting words were simply these "man you're doing God's work as a family"

And that is a legacy I'm proud of, that was born out of the death of our daughter in 2006

Play It By Ear

Something happened whilst I was at Cliff College over the Bank Holiday Weekend, something so exciting that it remains the highlight of the festival for me!

The whole of the BerryBunch was at Cliff College for the annual Fest and we spent most of our time at the BerryBunch stand sharing who we are and what we do. At the stand we were privileged to meet the leaders for the ‘Awesome’ tent for 5–11-year-olds and were invited to visit them if we could.

I had an idea pop into my head – an inspired idea to give our BerryBunch Berry stickers to the children. And so, Peter and I – I felt better going with a younger person – wondered off to the Awesome tent with a pile of cool stickers lovingly designed and created by our very own Nathan.

We were greeted with warm and friendly smiles and the leaders remembered us. Our stickers were received well, and it was decided that they should go i...[READ MORE]...

In addition to this, Andy explains what the Good News Newspaper is and challenges us with a Faith With Action tip, as an experienced evangelist.

The theme for this week is business, so the BerryBunch discuss the various aspects of business. Providing their own life experiences as well as tips for how we could support businesses.

: A Prayer Answered Before It Was Prayed

Every day is a learning day, and every day God is still very much at work.

It's often been said that when we pray we get one of three answers: Yes, No or Wait. I wonder where this one fits in with those three usual response.

A Prayer Answered Before It Was Prayed

We've been praying about how to fund replacement microphones for the ones we've been using to create buff.ly/3FF9kUE Video Resources: we wanted some Lavalier Microphones (miniature lapel placed microphones) because the ones we had been using sounded amazing, but were large and not helpful for the aesthetics of our video ie great for radio and podcasting, but not so great for video!

There was one major issue - we couldn't afford to buy the new microphones!...]READ MORE]...

I have a happy spot I can cycle to from our home. It faces the North Sea (UK) so the weather can vary quite a bit!

It's a regular chatting-with-God-place for me.

Today, it was bright and sunny through overcast clouds, with a gentle, warm breeze.

The sea was out today at the beach, but I stand on a small cliff - the sound of the waves crashing on the sand was idyllic.

Blessings y'all

Hey up DingDashers

How's people doing today? What you up to? And where in the world (roughly) are you doing it (I totally get security!)?

I'm in the North East of the UK, and catching up on some literature [hand outs] and mail from the past few weeks, and a week a a big Christian convention

My older two boys are at a bible study (called the Alpha Course - originally from the UK and a great way to grasp the basics of the Christian faith, or revisit those basic tenets of our faith, which is why my boys are involved)

My little son is mastering a rubicks cube!

This one comes from Dave from the4points.com

Each week I go round lots of different homes in Toxteth to pray for local families. Last week one lady who was visiting a friend said, “I don’t know if I’m a Christian.”

So I asked her, do you believe that God loves you? She said yes.

Then I asked her, have you ever done anything wrong, the Bible calls this sin. Yes of course, she replied.

Do you believe that Jesus died and rose again, to take away your sin and give you eternal life? Again she replied yes.

Then God prompted me to read, Romans 10:9
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

I explained that she...[READ MORE]...
