Be grateful, even for the small things you can accomplish

Today I'm making our bed.

Last time I tried to tidy it up, I had my first cut to deal with while on blood thinners - from a bolt that holds the frame together.

But I'm learning to get on with what I can do, when I can do it, and be peaceful when - like this morning - I felt a little in need of a bit more rest.

But this afternoon that extra resting (not my favourite activity.....at all....like ever!!!!!!) has paid off as I'm able to, slowly but surely, put fresh bedding on our bed.

For me that is an achievement, and one that I'm feeling very blessed to be able to do today.

I've even organised the table dryer loaded, loaded the washing machine myself.

Small things, but important. And each one I feel blessed to be able to do, as I start to get back with the idea of living.

So, put really simply count your blessings!!

@tanjaostman why are you trying to make me cry?...Being Loved is such a boost I tell you!!!!!

Been working on my profile...what do you think:

Olamide Dawson Adekunle is NOT the regular Missions Director. On the job, he's a demon chaser, rubble rousing soldier for the gospel of Jesus as to advance it in this present day (he learnt the hard way), requires rugged honest to goodness, heartfelt, rubber meets road doggedness. Thus his stripping of all, for its sake.

His favourite quote is from the Quaker missionary Etienne Grelet:

“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow human being LET ME DO IT NOW. Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall not pass this way again.”

This woman has been nominated to influence world banking and her proposals have the potential to make her the most dangerous person in the world in regards to Christian missions and most people have never heard of her.

Imagine....your child leaves home for school in the morning and later that day you discover that the government detained them and all their classmates and sent them to a government quarantine camp because someone in the school was suspected of being exposed to the coronavirus.
This just happened at our sons' secondary school in Hong Kong.
No one at the school was sick.
No one from the school has tested positive.
The detention of all 120 children and sending them to a government quarantine camp was based on POSSIBLE exposure.

Painful sides when I blow my nose. I haven't coughed much, but when you do MAN is it agressive - it catches you off guard (I've been so careful to breathe through my nose as much as possible, although a runny nose has frequently kicked that one into touch)

Haven't had painful sides (from coughing) like that for MANY years

Steven has nearly lost his voice, and is feeling generally run down
Nathan struggling with temperature fluctuations
Peter is looking run down, and is very slow (we miss his joyous smile! :-( )
Jo is perking up a bit, but her cough, while pretty mild, is causing her upset

I even went outside to empty a bin...very slowly, and cos we couldn't get any more in it!!

I'm hoping these are positive signs, but I'm equally aware that good moments are followed by bad ones, so none of us are taking any improvements for granted

@tanjaostman tea tree oil is simply amazing! We will look into that room infuser thingy you mentioned at some point

Me too. Honestly, I must confess it's not easy to stand the pressure. They are blaming us every day in Finnish media that the virus is still existing. I have seen several videos of Americans being ushered out of their working places. Yesterday a Christian man who was employedd at UCLA got fired because he wasn't jabbed. He had worked there for 7 years, and was working there risking his own health during the outbreak of c. (You can see the clip on rooted.wings on Instagram) I am still waiting for more people in my country to get their eyes opened on what's going on. But not even the fact that vaccinated people get the virus and transmit it, and that they get hospitalized, have open their eyes. The problem? We should give it to children 2-11 now. And a third and a fourth jab. They don't see any connections to young people and healthy people getting strange symptoms some weeks or months after the shot. There are three levels of adverse reactions, and immediate allergic reactions are rare.

@sinbach and to think when we have church here in good old USA, we have to quit after an hour, our lunch is cooking. We don't want it to burn. How sad I think we are in need of revival.

She was lock in solitary confinement in a Federal prison in Arizona ...........

This is apartheid, but I'm glad that it's not as strict as in Australia, Canada, France, Israel etc. But I wish we would have chosen the same path as the other Nordic countries.

"While it remains to be seen how widespread use of the pass will be, the types of establishments which could request the pass include: sports venues, gyms, swimming pools, theatres, museums and similar cultural spaces as well as bars, restaurants and nightclubs."
