Had this on repeat this morning - one of my favourite songs ever 🤍
What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to His
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing, "All is mine"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

“the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
The mystery of God that was hidden for ages, God’s means of sharing His glory and riches with those He made in His image and likeness, overcoming the separation of sin and death, is “Christ in you.” The prophets of the Old Testament had seen shadows of what was to come in Christ. Jesus told His disciples with regard to the Helper, the Spirit of truth: “You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:17). In Christ, our spirits are made alive, directly connected to God through the indwelling Holy Spirit; “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16); and “we are members of His body, His flesh, and of His bones” (Ephesians 5:30).
My post today on www.jason.church is about how directly after his conversion the Apostle Paul started preaching the faith he once tried to destroy (also @tanjaostman I made it to London tonight …)
I would like to see lay people from local churches come together more across denominational bounds to serve God in teams. If you have time, see what I have drafted up at www.teams.church (my last stab at this was about 14 months ago) and let me know if you have any feedback (is it clear? What can be improved?)
My church-related writings are available at www.jason.church. I recently posted a new book 📕 on Christ in the Apostle Paul at www.jason.church.
