Professor David K. Clements (recently on Steve Bannon's "War Room") gave me the honor of an interview about his life and testimony for my podcast this week! It's a very amazing, redemptive, and hope-filled testimony.

Here is a beautiful classic. This old hymn written by Fanny Crosby has been soothing me often these last couple of years.

I have been hung up on this passage from Matthew’s gospel:
“This is how it finally happened.” Matthew 26:1
Matthew obviously believes that his readers have tracked with him up to this conclusive moment. But many of us have not. What is about to “finally” happen? What has been anticipated, longed for, sought out, etc? Those are very important questions to answer if we are to understand Matthew’s gospel. What does Matthew want to happen?
What do you want to happen in your life? What are you longing for? If someone was to write your story, what would come next after they said, “This is how it finally happened...”
Personally, one of my answers would be that American returns to its Christian roots in full force. I will rejoice to write in this history books about how this finally happened.
Anyone in South Carolina, USA? This is someone worth supporting!

A brother has the opportunity for tremendous influence for good over his sister. This testimony demonstrates that powerfully.
If this isn’t an admission of guilt, I don’t know what is.

@Berrybunchfamily Thanks for your kind words, Andy! So encouraging! May the Lord bless you!
@Berrybunchfamily That is so encouraging! Thank you Andy! I hope you are sleeping better now!
I am excited to introduce our new podcast to you! Episode one! If there is a young father in your life who is looking for discipleship, instruction and encouragement, this podcast is for them! Please, share this podcast with the men in your life.
How long have we heard about “the last days”? How long have people predicted the end only to grow old and die at 60, 70, 80 years old, like everyone else? Have we ever considered the value of talking about “the end”? If we are living at the time when the world comes to an end, what good does it do to talk about it? Wouldn’t it be better to assume that we are not at “the end,” and do what we can to right the world’s wrongs?
The job of the evangelist or evangelistic preacher is to put his finger on he pulse of a community and to understand their questions, their concerns, their desires and their obstacles. How can the preacher speak God’s truth, which is the only truth, into these issues which consume the heart of the audience.
“The craftsmanship of the preacher is a great art, it does not come as a gift from the skies...it was not uncommon to hear people say as they listened to Spurgeon’s sermons: ‘I have often felt what He said...’ He was a true doctor of the soul...”
Can we be equally thoughtful about the way we preach and witness to our friends and neighbors? We can and we should, by all means, try. I think we will see remarkable results if we put our hearts into this task.
Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Jesus is always ready for revival. The resistance is our own.
I am studying and journaling Spurgeon to discern his secret to effectiveness. What I am discerning confirms what I already believed. Revival is the result of prayer, patience, and a lot of hard work. Thinking through the message, always refining, never ceasing prayer and risk are all vital ingredients for a revival.
A true revival is more science than magic. Work out the ingredients, mix them together, put it in the oven and wait. If we work the process according to the truth, it will produce a revival. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. I study Spurgeon to acquire his recipe.
Why am journaling my discovery of Spurgeon? Because I want to be a preacher who effectively communicates the goodness of the Gospel to my generation and culture. I believe that the great evangelists down the years have put their finger on the pulse of their generation and we’re able to articulate the needs and longings of their audience. How do you do this today? How do we reach our current population? How do we preach effectively?
Over the years, I have heard many Christians imply that Revivals happen when the Holy Spirit “chooses” to move. But I reject this explanation. Does the Holy Spirit not want to move at all times? Is there ever a time that Jesus doesn’t want sinners to repent? Is there ever a time that God the Father is not longing to bring his prodigal sons home?
A great and hope-filled article from General Flynn. Repentance, truth and integrity are the only way forward.
PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY~! And all the firemen, police , ambulance, medical and frist responders as they are traumatized also.
They were having a bonfire when the dad went to add gasoline to the fire as it was not starting. And explosion happened and the Dad, Mom, 1 year old and 4 year old girl, and 6 year old boy were all injured. The children and mom have life threatening burns and the baby just died after surgery.
We were best friends in Canada with 2 of the first firefighters that arrived on scene and have been in contact. They are taking it very hard.
Blessings
Orlena

I believe that there is a little bit of "cult follower" in everyone. This is my friend's journey into and out of a cult. Yet, he never left Jesus. It's a happy ending.
I am a husband, father, worship leader, song-writer, missionary, and podcast host. I live in Western North Carolina, USA, from where my family and I share our life and music with the world.
