@sinbach Eugene Bach is a Christian and former Marine sniper. (You know him, Ding-Dash family!) This militant description might seem like a contradiction to many Christians, but should it? Eugene joins me on this week's podcast to share about the fight that every man should have within himself.

Jesus never asks you to do something that He is not willing to do Himself. After all, Jesus said that He is “with us always, even to the end of the age.”
Always means always.
God told the Israelites that He “humbled them” and “tested them” in the wilderness by letting them go hungry and then feeding them mana from heaven that He might make them understand that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Deuteronomy 8:3)
Does this seem like harsh parenting?
Consider that Jesus also went into the desert while fasting (Matthew chapter 4). Jesus also went hungry and lived on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
True leaders lead through example and sacrifice. True leaders share in the sufferings of the people they seek to lead. Thank God that He is Jesus, the Lord of all and the servant of all.
America is waking up, indeed.

My kids helped me write this song many years ago. We finally recorded it together this year.

“But my righteous one will live by faith; And if he hesitates, my soul will not delight in him.”
Hebrews 10:38
What causes us to hesitate in our faith? Is it not fear and pain?
I don’t like pain. I’m afraid of it. If moving forward means that I will experience pain, I usually hesitate.
Pain is like a financial debt; it’s guaranteed to come due. The only choice we have in regard to pain or debts is when and how much we will pay. If we shrink back from faith, we will still experience pain. It may be down the road, but it will come. If we delay in paying what we owe, there will be a much higher price to pay down the road. Jesus asks us to trust Him with our pain today so that we will not be crushed by it in the future.
One of the most important gifts a father can give his son is the discipline to endure painful experiences for the sake of long-term benefit.
Our father cares about us, and so, He urges us to move bravely into the future and not to shrink back.
It is one of our greatest sins that we regularly allow church to be boring. Boredom in church does not reflect the quality of Jesus. Jesus is not boring.
Music is amazing but it can be VERY boring. The difference in effort and passion. When a musician is passionate about his/her music, and when they work hard at it, the results are truly wonderful!
If we would put as much effort into our scripture reading, worship leading, preaching, and praying, as Eric Clapton puts into guitar playing, we will never be bored in Church again.
Life is so good, and also downright scary.
God created a good world, but also an exciting world. We can't have excitement without adversity. We can have meaning without consequence and resistance. Trials are the gift of good. Adversity is the source of excitement and meaning. We live in a world of good and evil. The adventure is found in the choice to commit to the good only.
Jesus said, "No one is good but God Alone" Mark 10:18
The most exciting adventure on which mankind could embark begins with an unrestricted commitment and a fully surrendered life to Christ.
If you have never fully surrendered, please do so today. The world needs you at your maximum potential which can only come through your life surrendered. Don't delay, tomorrow might be too late.
@Cherishingsparrows2020 That is wonderful! They are very committed people.
Before I called my podcast "The Faith of the Fathers," I called it "The Gospel For Planet Earth."
This is one of those older episodes but it is a MUST listen.
💯 🔥🔥
Kelsey's story is beautiful AND tragic. Kelsey went through hell before she found someone who could show her the true love of the Father. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
