@Jesper_Laursen
When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind.

@Matthias I think we are mostly on the same page, except with different terminology. For example, Peter sinned when he feared the Judaizers (Gal. 2:11-14), even though he had been saved and baptized with the Spirit. Perhaps you can say that he didn't have a "sin nature", but he certainly had a "nature that is capable of sinning", whatever you want to call it. That being said, I agree that we ought to see ourselves as God sees us, which will be empowering for holy and joyful living.

@mattmcguire
Oh I so agree!!
God didn't strip us of our free will, so we have to have an ability to sin.
When we start believing the truth about who we are now that Christ came, walking towards holiness becomes something natural, because we just start to live out what we already are instead of trying to be something and biting our lips in order to achieve something we know, we never will be able to do.

@mattmcguire
I believe that there is two aspects that need to be considered:
1) God sees us as holy people, because we are in Christ and nothing is ever going to get us "out of Christ" if we don't deliberately choose to forsake him. The way God sees us is reality.
2) Our practical conduct of life. We need to learn and accept our new identity as holy people and we need to adapt to a new way of thinking (love, not business). This may take some time

@mattmcguire
If we were still dirty, how could we even live in relationship with a holy God?

More interesting to me seems to be the question of where the idea and the wide acceptance that we aren't cleaned of our sinful nature stems from. I strongly believe it to come from a mixture of experience and scripture, trying to fit together, what is often times opposing each other.

@mattmcguire
Hey Matt!
From what I read in the bible, especially Romans 5-8 and 1. John, I can see a clear path towards the interpretation, that our sinful nature is completely changed in the moment of salvation and we can learn to live in a reality, that is already here. 2. Cor. 5 is also quite clear about this.

I might err just as Crowder may does, but one thing seems clear to me, that we shouldn't use intuition, common sense and value our experiences in the light of the gospel

@Asianking
Thank you for sharing. We have to be careful with everything we say and write indeed.
I am afraid, there is no connection between the hiking trip of your friend and his son and my father's and mine. My father hasn't "lived and caused trouble in China for over 20 years" 😉

@raymondthebrave
Lots of IT companies are currently creating quantum computers. The company I work with has produced a quantum computer with a decent amount of qubits with a small team in under two years.
So I guess anyone with some financial resources and a few experts can build one and it is a matter of years until they will be available on the market.
The question to me seems if there will even be such a big market since the range applications for QC seems rather small to me.

@raymondthebrave
Thank you Raymond!
That was really informative and also practically relevant. I think, I'll give it a try

@xixiangdong @Asianking
Thank you, it's true what you wrote.
I am not a total newbie to data protection and encryption. It seems to be a rapidly changing and growing field and with every new possibility to decrypt comes a new task to provide encryption.
The outcome is a reality where, with enough CPU force, everything can be encrypted. It seems to be key, to use tools and apps that provide the best protection. Not because they are safe, but because they need a certain effort to crack open.

pray that 40 vietnam Bibles make it into the hands of those who need it most as they are on their way. They are already inside so not giving up info. Just pray they go where needed. Thanks.

What is ding dash doing to protect the identity of persecuted Christians and missionaries in those countries?
Based on my profile I pretend to be a fellow follower of Christ from central Europe but I could also be a governmental agent from the chinese communist party. And if so, it would be very dangerous for Chinese people to get in touch with me.
Are there ways of protection for such cases or is that considered as a personal issue, where we just need to be wise in what information we share?

BREAKING! You will not find this in the news yet (outside of the Chinese-English language websites), but China just registered a chip for the human brain to bring human-to-computer interface. Here is what Christians NEED to know.

A little thought I had while cooking some pasta...if you're feeling like God is restricting you from where you're trying to go, perhaps God is actually helping you to get where He wants you to go a little more easily, and with much less effort, so we can walk in His strength, rather than our own.

Also, if you out a lid on and turn down the heat, you'll cook your pasta far more efficiently.

What are people's thoughts on Grace Church suing the state?

I'm British, so the idea of suing is not something I'm familiar with

But, while I think it is wrong how churches have been treated, compared to pubs or casinos, I'm not able to reconcile these actions as a Christian

Maybe it's an American culture thing but I don't think so

I do think fighting to get back into a building to sing is missing the point when so many churches have waited more than they've innovated

Thoughts???
