You have your Bible in English today because - on this day, October 6, in 1536, William Tyndale was burned at the stake for disobeying the authorities.
It was deemed a danger to society for individuals to read the Bible themselves. If an individual wanted to learn more about the Bible, they needed to join a congregation, have it read to them by an ordained priest, and in the Latin language.
William Tyndale was considered selfish and dangerous for putting the individual over the group.

Tears fall. Today was already hard for many reasons. But tonight I saw this picture and tears fell like a silent waterfall.
This is little YuanHao. He was a precious little baby who was born with anal atresia ( no opening). He was cruelly brought to the brink of death 3 times before we got the phone call asking if we would care for him! In this picture he is almost a year old. When we got him he only weighed 6.5 lbs at 9 months of age. With love and care he learned to smile, and even laugh.
We got the blessing of loving him until he went to heaven due to internal organ failure.
It’s amazing how there is always a place in our hearts for each child we care for that will never go away.

The truth is, I have spent the entire pandemic traveling the world. This year, in 2021, I have been on a plane flying to a different country about every week. I have been pretty irresponsible - speaking in large groups, hosting illegal meetings, not wearing a mask, hugging, shaking hands, licking door knobs - you know the usual.
I have also been tested more than anyone reading this post.
Let's be honest - there will a huge group of people celebrating when I finally get COVID.
But after traveling around the world, experiencing the lockdowns in China, US, and Europe as well as enjoying the relative freedom of movement in Sudan, Iraq, and Sweden - I have a few opinions.

@sinbach it looks like it has been temporarily held off based on news from today. I hadn't read through the proposed law and was SHOCKED to see that it's requiring all US financial institutions to report ALL bank accounts with more than $600 in them to the Federal Govt. They are compelled to report 100% of inflow and outflow for the year - with the idea of better targeting audits.

11 MONTHS LATER - FB finally acknowledges that i disagreed but still has NOT allowed me ANY access to my account to even see what i disagreed with (or what i posted that suddenly became a violation months after i posted it - whatever it was) & threatens to delete my account - 14 years of my personal information (without allowing me in to download it - if they disagree with my disagreeing ... once again i reiterate - i am a sovereign created by God & natural born citizen of our constitutional republic with all the rights endowed by our creator, & 1 is the right to free speech / expression & you have no right to censor me!

I just need to brag on the most wonderful nation of Sweden!
I didn't need a covid test to board the flight to Sweden. I didn't need proof of vaccine. I was allowed to take off my mask upon arrival.
Regardless of your views, I fly almost every week and have easily spent between $12-15,000 USD on covid tests and it has been a nightmare.
What a joy and absolute privilege to travel to Sweden!
