This was one of my first Gospel 8 Tracks after I became a Christian. I have not heard this song in almost 30 years, but after hearing the first notes, I jumped right in singing along KNOWING EVERY WORD! Young people might HATE this music, but it goes down like warm comfort food for my soul.

Trust in the sovereignty of God only exists when trust in the love of God exists. If, no matter what our circumstance, we trust that God is good, faithful and present with us, we will never stumble. Our trust in God’s love and Sovereignty will be tested like King Ahaz of Israel.

God was on the verge of bringing about a great deliverance for Israel but King Ahaz lacked the faith to enjoy that fact. Instead, he pooped his pants. But God brought about the deliverance anyway.

God is sovereign and God is good.

weird, but this video brought back so many memories. I would always look for places to be alone so I could secretly practice calling cadence. One of the things I loved when I was a young Sgt was singing/yelling out this cadence while watching the sun rise over Recon Ridge.
