Another very rainy July morning here in the UK... 😭🌧

@bethany I've got my washing out but it does look ominous down in the south!

@bethany cloudy - yes - BUT it looks amazing. love green rolling hills like that.

@sinbach it is pretty beautiful - even with the rain

@bethany sometimes the rain can make it special. perhaps we need gloomy days - something about them makes me enjoy my food a little more, stay in bed a little longer, build a fire a little bigger, and opt for a good 'slow burn' book/movie. these things seem a little more special in gloomy weather. maybe this is why england has been blessed with such amazing authors in the past? reading and writing do seem more enjoyable when daily sunshine is more rare.

@sinbach have we talked about this before? The best writing that truly stands the test of time is usually (at worst) depressing and (at best) reflective. Both of those come more naturally with gloomy weather. I'm convinced there's a link there

@bethany yes we have talked about this before! my theory is sunshine preachers are popular in the moment but are often forgotten over time because they lack the depth that proceeds posterity.
it seems that gloomy weather and hard lives have something to contribute to our understanding of life, love, and salvation.

@sinbach I thought we had! Just came back to me. Maybe you need to do all your writing in England from now on 😁
The same theory goes for songs too - Amazing Grace, It Is Well....

@bethany maybe this is why i always head to cold weather areas for all of my writing. the colder, the better. cold, remote, dark...reflective.

@sinbach @bethany
Rotherham is the Answer Cold ,dark and desolate. But Jesus has the answer for all that.😎

@andyharris @sinbach I'm not sure you're going to convince him to move to Rotherham, however cold, dark and desolate it may be πŸ˜‚

@bethany @andyharris not true! I LOVE Rotherham - not because of the weather - but because of the people!

@sinbach @andyharris there's a few who will probably try and throw you a welcome home party when you're finally able to come back here again 😁

@bethany @andyharris i want to love this even more than just one heart click. i suddenly feel ....loved!
tell all my dear dear friends in Rotherham that I miss them and can't wait to see them again!

@sinbach @bethany You are to kind , you could see the Bailey bridge in real life 😎

@andyharris @sinbach yeah for some reason I've managed to go my whole life without knowing that even existed

@bethany @sinbach Me too Colin from food bank used to live next door to its inventor

@sinbach @bethany Truth because the storms of life come!! I believe that’s why God is brutally honest with His Word.. the great successes and the discouraging failures are laid open!

@bethany wow! Those clouds look amazing and look at those birds - they look like they are loving it, and the green grass! 🀣
I'm poking fun at you! I'm sorry about the rain I know it can get tiring when it's supposed to be warm and sunny.
We have been in the 90s, thankfully it takes all day to get there and is cool at night. We are getting a lot of Forest fires.
I wish I could bring you to my house to dry up and get a sun tan...and sweat in the shade! I'll ask the Lord to give you some sunny morning walks. Hugs πŸ€—πŸ’–

@MaryMamuzich I'm touched by your sympathy... πŸ˜‚ Actually, the next week is supposed to be a lot of sun, so it should improve.
Sorry to hear about the forest fires! Hopefully you'll have some cooler days. Hugs back! πŸ¦‹
