Evangelical Lutheran Church in America elects first transgender Bishop. In an explosive interview, former transgender Walt Heyer pioneer joins our BTJ podcast and explains why this is extremely dangerous.
BTJ works in areas like Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia where child sex trafficking and the transgender lifestyle are huge issues. Walt Heyer's interview is an eye opening discussion to reveal what Christians around the world need to know.

@sinbach this sadden me to my core! I was raised in the Missouri Synod church which is very conservative. The ELCA church has always seemed liberal. I look forward to this interview.
@MaryMamuzich @sinbach he is referring to an interview he already made in October, if I get it right. You find a link to the podcast in the article.
@tanjaostman @sinbach I haven't had time to listen but I will. It's the ECLA church becoming even more liberal that saddens me so much.
@MaryMamuzich @tanjaostman I am so thankful for our guest that boldly came on to our podcast and shared about his experience of being a transgender. I am even more thankful for his salvation in Christ.
@sinbach @tanjaostman I grew up with 5 brothers and 2 sisters. One sister was more girly than me and my sister. Anyway, I was such a tomboy, I hated girl clothes and dolls and preferred fishing and playing in the dirt with trucks. If that were today I'd be pushed to change gender. This world is crazy!
I look forward to listening to the podcast. Eugene, thank you for all you do to inform so many of us.
@MaryMamuzich I was like you as a child... 😀
@MaryMamuzich @sinbach That entire sect sold out to the Catholic Beast a long time ago as evidenced by a Lutheran leader trying to trap Alberto Rivera about 1984 in Las Vegas, New Mexico which interview is fascinating and on youtube. Twenty years ago a
Ph.D. friend of mine working for an ECLA Church in Nashville told me over lunch that it was a given that all the sects and denominations would eventually become one. Yeeeaaahhh!........NOT! Also close to home cuz was in Las Vegas many times during '80s
@MaryMamuzich @sinbach I went to Valparaiso University where the split between ELCA and Missouri Synod was on full display and studied in its respected honors college. Since then I've watched my sister and brother-in-law, also graduating from this institution and program, move into full alignment with the ELCA to my great disappointment. There's such a big difference between the Bible is the Word of God and the Bible CONTAINS the Word of God. I believe God will have victory in these relationships yet (2 Corinthians 2:14).
@sinbach Wow, I thought that the Ev. Luth. Ch. in the US was more conservative than the highly politicized Lutheran state churches here. The interview is great! I am glad that you don’t back down! One of my husband’s cousins is a Christian transgender (from female to male). She has undergone a mastectomy (in 2019). And the interesting thing is that she still wants to be my friend despite what I've shared on FB. A couple of months after the surgery she wanted to visit us and said “I am glad that you share what you share and don’t give up on your views”. WHAT did I just hear?! She admitted that she will never become a real man, it’s in the DNA. And the most talented surgeon can’t change her genitals for real. There is no room for more text here... but what’s going on right now in the world (and Churches) is craziness! I pray for this relative that she will transition back to female, even if she has looked like and felt like a boy all of her life! Deep inside she knows this is no solution
What a shocking but educational testimony indeed! @sinbach
@sinbach i want to say i'm surprised or shocked...but i'm not - just saddened ever more at the state of the 'church'!
