In this podcast, @bethany and I hash it out.
Are men and women the same?
Should women be pastors?
Would I EVER attend a church pastored by a woman?
And Finally - why do I love chick flicks so much?
Such a fun and honest podcast with plenty to agree about and disagree about.

@xtian @sinbach it's probably for the best we weren't both in the same room 😂

@bethany it would've been so much better to see the expressions on your face live!

@sinbach no I'm sure you value your life more than that

@bethany wow. a threat. nice.
after all these years, I am having an impact. 😎

@sinbach @bethany

>"I have no issue with a female president".

mfw. Women are not leaders. You contradict yourself completely there. Some politically correct bullshit there.

Women are supposed to be nurturers, guardians of beauty, the roots of Society (men being the branches), not supposed to stand out. They're spiritual, emotional beings.
You rationalize women too much and that's cringe. You can't understand what they do, because they're the roots, remember? Learn to listen. Only by the end of the episode you began to listen, you should've done that since the beginning. Next time remember to relax more and listen.
@mystik @sinbach @bethany i don't remember jesus ever saying you had to be a man to spread the word of god :cirno_doubt:
@icedquinn @bethany @sinbach He also never said if we should use tabs or spaces, but spaces are clearly a superior choice.
@icedquinn @bethany @sinbach

I think that Mary Magdalene preached with her example. She must've been a role model for all women in the Church. She rejected degeneracy, embraced Jesus, and devoted her life to serve him.

Women that imitate male leadership, imo, are wrong. Female leadership is more about example, inspiration, creation of a sane emotional environment for everyone. Male leadership is more about (visible) results, and that requires aggressiveness and disruption.

Of course there are always exceptions to the rule, but in general, most of the time, it's annoying seeing women as "figures of authority". It's a distortion of Natural order.

In the Bible Mary asks Jesus to do a miracle, the first public miracle, out of compassion. She did it from an emotional place, not from an authority "do as I say, son" kind of place. Women know how to feel, we know how to think. Heart vs brain. Which one do you need more?

@mystik @bethany @sinbach Im confused, about your comment Only by the end of the episode you began to listen... Who are you talking about, who is to relax more and listen???

@mystik @bethany @sinbach
LOL, Some politically correct bullshit??? I have heard bethany and sinbach being accused of many things, but never being politically correct, that's a good one! 😂

@Will @bethany @sinbach

It's not an accusation, chill out. Women in politics are garbage, that's a fact. Why would he say that after having rambled for hours on end about how inferior women are? Political correctness, must be.

I think that he doesn't understand the role of women. It's invisible, immaterial (at least for us men). Comparing is not good. Appreciating would've been better.

@mystik @sinbach @Will
Okay not going to lie, even though I'm not entirely sure what they mean, I was kind of enjoying the guardian of beauty, roots of society comments... 😂 but I'm not down for "my role" being invisible and immaterial.
Your opinions are totally valid, but to make the observation of "hours on end rambling about how inferior women are" is to say that you didn't really listen to the podcast - think it's an unfair judgement is all.

@bethany @sinbach @Will

Immaterial and invisible are the best things there are, like love and compassion.

And yes, maybe I am being a little judgmental. And yes, I may be wrong and unfair. But I'm 100% honest, that was my impression about his performance. He may take it constructively or not, it's on him now.

@bethany @mystik @Will
I would have responded if there was a coherent argument to respond to.
Good on you @bethany and @Will for attempting the impossible.

@mystik @bethany @sinbach
Seriously, are you ok? You don't sound like it. You are so confusing... you ask me to chill out when I was just lightly seeing something that really is humorous, then you bring a full out attack on him, twisting what he was saying. Where is this all coming from?

And what's with "comparing is not good," that's all you have been doing on every post, if it's not good, then stop ding it, and begin to show and share the appreciation you say he should.

And while we are at it, andohtr confusing thing, are you male or female?
In a previous post you write "Women know how to feel, we know how to think. Heart vs brain. Which one do you need more?"
When you say we know how to think, you leave the assumption you are a woman.
Then in this post you write "(at least for us men)" leaving the assumption you are male?
I am so very confused by everything you are posting.

@sinbach @bethany
great podcast - that was fab!

you both do yourselves much credit in how you discuss this issue (but I never heard much disagreement)

there is so much i'd love to say, but won't (1,000 characters isn't enough for me, anyway), except than I'm reminded of Jesus taking the whip into the temple. He took time to make & craft it. His reaction was considered - but much we see around men v women is reactive, which is never healthy

you'll offend people no matter what, on this topic, but it NEEDS to be spoken of: I totally agree the 'church' has become very female orientated, & that men need to step up. but it isn't easy when society/church tells them not to

Eugene, you stated so much I agree with/think - you remind me of me lol ! ie we also sold the home we owned (15 years ago), in faith, & don't regret the cruelty from others, or the complexities it created

excellent job, both of you!

& @bethany - your words prompted me that I really must do that video on reverence!

@Berrybunchfamily @sinbach @bethany I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm definitely curious. This particular podcast seems to be prompting a lot of comments and discussion. My husband has listened to it already and he was talking about it too...
