Hey up family. To borrow a phrase from my good friend @DevotionalTreasures , how are you doing on this Lord's day?

And what are you up to? What is God saying to you today? What's your scripture of the day?

Us? Well we had an AMAZING sleep - both in going to bed, and waking up, relaxed (this had NOT been the norm for some considerable time - feels like someone has prayed specifcally...); the boys are playing Mario Cart on the Wii, & Jo and I have had two cups of tea/coffee in bed and a lovely time chatting through life things.

So, so far, a welcomed, lazy, start to our first day off this week and a morning to enjoy feeling peaceful and relaxed, rather than rush away from it!

Now showered and read to begin properly :-) with another cup of Earl Grey for me, and proper coffee for Jo Jo.

Today we’ve had one of our regular planning meetings.

We’ve talked through Andy B’s first book, that is being written as I type! We hope to publish that within the next month or so – we’ll keep you posted.

I'm super, SUPER, super excited about the work going into our Podcast - Marriage Matters - which launches next month!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we started filming again, today, for our new Season of our child safe Little Blessings Online...cardboard roll angels, Dave the Dog getting confused again (filming that tomorrow :-) - my favourite part of EVERY week), and some more nursery rhymes, with familiar tunes and Andy B'd lyrics.

In our special Summer Special, Jo Jo and Dave the Dog go for a walk.

3rd birthday here in 19 days as we celebrate Peter's 11th

His first gift was picking Jo up from work, late last night, and a CD from a US Christian metal band, which we lisened to on the way home.

This morning we're a bit groggy cos we were up late getting stuff ready, and Peter is helping us wake up with more Christian metal music - by the band Disciple - to help us wake up this morning

Peter wanted a badge this year.....Jo had to create one super quickly ;-)

This post is mostly about me asking for your recommendations and suggestions for your favourite podcasts and Bible reading plans or study books.

We’re taking a couple of weeks from creating our usual output, and it’s giving us an opportunity as a family to catch up on all sorts of things, rethink things and rest as a family in a different way.

We’ve washed the car, dumped a broken sofa at the tip, rearranged some furniture and taken a look at our lives to see where we have been wasting time, or where God might be calling us to do other things.

And it was going so well - exploring somewhere completely new, and some beautiful weather to boot

Two puncture repairs later and I had to resort to putting my Kevlar puncture prevention strip underneath the inner tube, against the wheel....my newly fitted rear wheel was missing the protective strip that sits against the wheel, and my inner tube now has regularly spaced holes from the recesses for the spokes...

Oh well, I've got the wheel strip from my last wheel and a spare inner tube

Still... frustrated I made such a dumb mistake! And that I had to cut short my ride, just to crawl home.

Met up with number one son, on my otherwise solo cycle.

Grass was really tall, & tough to plow through with multiple, long, deep (feet submerged while pedalling deep!) puddles that were unavoidable, but fun to do anyway :-) low gear and keep those pedals turning!!

A very muddy bike when I got home, and I wasn't much cleaner. Great time though, and having a break with my oldest - in the middle of nowhere - made it all the sweeter as we shared energy tablets and had a moment to chat together

With a newly replaced rear wheel, derailleur, gear cable & outer, my 2nd hand bike is finally working as it should....funny what we put up with - in my case for 6 years, with bad gear changes and no confidence the gears will stay where they should!

Still, all sorted now - onwards.
