First time for Yorkshire puddings in my new Yorkshire pudding baking tray

These have turned out utterly amazing, and I can't wait to tuck in (even if I do say so myself)

Simple things can bring great joy :-)

The proof is in the pudding they say? Well these puddings look flippin awesome!!!

@MaryMamuzich Its a food filler really and a bit like pancake batter, but baked in the oven, not a frying pan

SOOOO good, though

Tastes better in Yorkshire, with proper northern gravy....but mine turned out pretty good ๐Ÿ™‚

@bethany @MaryMamuzich today's Andy B 2 minute video is another cooking show attempt, with my new baking trays :-)

And Bethany, that teaching video in reverence should be out soon...gonna record it today or tomorrow

@bethany @MaryMamuzich well then look out for "Baking Trays, Yorkies and Spiritual Growth" ๐Ÿ™‚

i've got another for tomorrow evening already done and uploaded, ready to go live called "Rocking Chair Worries" ;-)

Will post here on DD later, but it'll also be out as a podcast; out on YouTube' out on Instagram TV,; out on Facebook and, of course, via our website - www.berrybunch.family

@MaryMamuzich @bethany oddly, it can be sweet or savoury

It's just a pancake batter (near enough) so you could just as easily fry some up and add your lemon juice and sugar (or maple syrup)

We use it as a savoury like this, though

@Berrybunchfamily I think if you suggested adding lemon juice and sugar here in Yorkshire, you'd be kicked out and never allowed back in ๐Ÿ˜‚
@MaryMamuzich I remember my brother trying to explain yorkshire puddings to his American wife. I'm not sure you guys really have an equivalent?

@bethany @MaryMamuzich Sugar and lemon juice on a pancake....not on a Yorkie ๐Ÿ˜‚

@bethany Thanks

The north has pudding, chips and gravy...something the south really doesn't understand!!

@Berrybunchfamily @bethany soooooo,..... Why is it called pudding when there is no pudding involved...

@MaryMamuzich @Berrybunchfamily @bethany do they have a lot of stiffly beaten egg whites? They look a little like merengues.

@Cherishingsparrows2020 @MaryMamuzich @Berrybunchfamily @bethany Lemon/ Lime season started in our area, we use fresh juice while making Lemon merengue pie. Ofcourse eggs from our backyard, we usually don't buy eggs. Wheat flour comes from a widow's farm.
Our winter delight!

@MaryMamuzich @bethany @Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter @Cherishingsparrows2020

definitely nothing like a meringue as we don't add sugar, and there is not much beating going on

on pancakes we usually use lemon juice and sugar, or maple syrup

but on Yorkshire Puddings, it's usually a meaty gravy :-) (or the lemon sauce made from the juices of a cooked chicken I discovered a few months ago)

and as for why it's called a pudding? not a clue! i think it's more to do with shape than the word - that'd be my guess

steak and kidney pudding (with suet pastry and my absolute favourite food in the world) is definitely not a dessert, but that is definitely a pudding

i don't know enough about the wording to reply...

@DevotionalTreasures it tasted better than it looked ๐Ÿ˜Š

In fact, I've just published an Andy B 2 Minute Video on those Yorkies :-) that goes live this evening, from 6pm

@Berrybunchfamily @MaryMamuzich @bethany @Cherishingsparrows2020
Do I smell a Saxon war with the entry of a sour lemon escaped from the Lemon merengue pie ?

Praying for you friends, May God open the windows of heaven and pour out His Blessings upon you. My God shall supply all your needs according to His richness in Glory.....
May you be filled with the Joy of the Lord!

Psalm 4:7 You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
Love and Blessings!

@Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter @MaryMamuzich @bethany @Cherishingsparrows2020

such a lovely scripture and blessing! struggling to know joy at the moment...no reason why I shouldn't, it just seems a little absent

@Berrybunchfamily @Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter @MaryMamuzich @bethany
Thank you. Recently I've noticed scriptures with joy or even ones about things that bring happiness grabbing my attention. There are plenty of things in this world to dishearten all of us, but "the joy of the Lord is our strength". Thank you for the scripture, the blessing, and the prayers. We are praying for you and the ones you represent as well.

@Berrybunchfamily The proof should be in the recipe. Please share the recipe you followed.

My prayer for you this time is " Father provide all the essential ingredients for a fruitful ministry and expansion including abundant financial resources to @Berrybunchfamily , in Jesus Name!

@Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter

125g plain flour
2 eggs
225 ml milk
pinch of salt

mix well together well

bake the pudding trays at 200 degrees centrigrade, with 10ml of oil per hole

after 20 minutes take the tray out, & pour enough batter mix to half fill each hole (pour it in, in one go)

pop back in the oven for 15-20 minutes - or until golden brown

enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

your prayer is very appreciated, and much in line with our own, current, prayers & thoughts

with my first book approaching completion ( @Olamide is to thank for pushing me to do that) there is much to be doing - i'm converting my Andy B 2 Minute Videos into a book of daily, though provoking, little stories

my other book, which is even nearer completion is, again, thanks to the love and request from @Olamide , and is a teaching video/podcast/book called "Broken Dreams, and Hope"

God is good - we just got some stools somebody didn't want, for our studio, which was a blessing to us
