Hello, dear DD family ( haha, my husband and I are fans of Dunkin Donuts coffee otherwise known as DD).
I just want to thank you for your fellowship in the Lord. Life is full for our little family, as it is for each of you, and to find encouragement and uplifting words and prayer is precious. May Jesus find His increase in each of you as you end this week and begin the next.
Maranatha!

If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem to be against us, we do not believe Him at all. - Charles Spurgeon

Following my new blog on Jacob and Esau I felt this classic Spurgeon sermon needed to be shared:

Friday morning and there is still Hope in Jesus Christ! Look up for your redemption is drawing near! Friday is here but Sunday is coming! Soon there will be the dawning of a new day when Christ comes for His own! Come unto Jesus Christ today!

Man doesn't live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from God's mouth
Heavenly Father,
Today our noses are to the ground. You alone are Jireh. We are satisfied with streams of Living Water. Thank You for the table spread for the trees of righteousness in the midst of enemies -our cruise of oil shall not fail. Thanks for the bread and meat sent to Your servants, the green pastures and widows. We will not complain about the sameness of our food nor long for Egypt's onions and cucumbers. Having taken a stand against baal we understand the need for famine. May baal worshippers release darkness and come to the light-Jesus Christ. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
This famine is Your will to help spread the gospel to all nations. Thanks for the Joseph's and Obadiah's- faithful stewards who put resources in place for Your people. Having sown righteousness our tzedakah lasts forever. All bills-paid. Blessed be the name of the Lord and His Messiah forever. Amen

We are on our way to the hospital for our daughter's surgery. May God be praised and glorified!

Our daughter's surgery was just completed, but they're doing tap blocks and getting her out of anesthesia, so it's another 45 min or so until we see her. Your continued prayers are appreciated. They are sending some additional findings to pathology. But, God has been so faithful. We trust they will all be benign.

We reach a stage where our ship no longer sails the high seas of life, but is in harbour, anchored securely to Christ. Yet our spirit still sails far and wide in prayers.

Psalm 17 verse 8, says this “Protect me as the pupil of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings (CSB)

We love the idea of being under the protection of our Heavenly Father – as we should!

But after some issues with their car, due to an oak tree in their garden (and the ‘stuff’ it deposited on their car), Andy realised the small, summer, car cover - which only covered the windscreen – simply wasn’t big enough, so a full car cover was bought and put into use.

But it got him thinking - where are we struggling to protect something, when God is much bigger and better at completely protecting us?

@Hinerodney praise God- He never gives up on us.
Jesus walked through the valley with you and created a new man with a new heart to serve so many. God bless your family for standing strong and seeing the goodness in you.

Here is my thought on prayer today:
In our frail humanity we can never be cautious enough in how we approach the Throne of Grace in prayer. We would do well to apply the ratio of listen (to God) twice, and speak (in prayer) once. After all we have two ears and only one mouth!
