“So don’t worry away with your...

“What will we eat?”

“What will we drink?”

“What will we wear?”

“Don’t worry about tomorrow.”
(Matthew 6:31-34)

Are there any commandments as straightforward as these that we so regularly flaunt?

Jesus offers us rest.
Thank you, Jesus. I receive Your rest.

this thought just popped into my head

when I was walking up a steep hill one day, someone told me to stop looking up. because it can be quite psychologically demotivating to see how much further you have to go

and i'm sure that is a very sensible thing while walking up a hill

but there are two issues with that as a Christian

if we look at our feet, we won't know where we're going.

or, to put that one another way - and far more importantly - we won't see WHO we're going towards

because Christianity isn't just a journey to a destination

it's a journey to a person; to a 'Him'

also, if we only ever look down at our feet, we won't be enjoying the journey we are on

just a mini thought that popped into my head which i thought i'd share with my DingDash family

let's look up to our guide, who already know the twists and turns of the journey ahead

Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand
will save me.

Psalms 138:7 NKJV

@Antonio, dear brother, you and the many believers around you are seen and known by our Savior. You are not alone or trekking through these valleys without His knowledge and tender love toward you. Thankyou for your encouragement to us here in the US, through your zealous love for Jesus and the furthering of His kingdom. Satan knows his time is short; be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Spirit who is mightily at work in you! Praying from Pennsylvania, USA.

@sinbach it's certainly very easy to go for the comfy option

it's all too east to place our reliance on unbiblical approaches like 'use your common sense'

because while God gives us minds to think through problems. He also desires us to 'trust and obey' and our own thinking can get in the way of that all too easily

the narrow path is dangerous, yet exciting...do we want danger? Or comfort?

i just read a Facebook post from "UK Government"

ok, yes it was about a mass vaccination event at Wembley Stadium, so some clever person said 'help give covid the boot' in reference to Wembley

but, the vaccine can't be booted away

it can't stop transmission or slow or reduce spreading it

it can't stop you dying

however, it "may" help prevent you suffering badly or for less time, but plenty of people still, sadly, die from covid, even with jabs

but it won't stop you spreading or catching or suffering from covid. and it won't get rid of covid

i'm not anti-vax. i'm so definitely not against medical help (i'm on 3 daily meds to keep me alive)

but i'm utterly fed up of the polarising lies about what the vaccine will do

i'd say this on facebook, but, honestly, why bother

i've not posted like this before. but i truly hate misinformation - where was the fact check warning on that post?!?

grr

i'm off for a hot chocolate

"Don't pray for the success of America! Pray for the repentance of this nation!" -Brother Yun in Orlando Florida today

Wasn't quite a posh restaurant meal on our 25th anniversary. But, sometimes you have to grab what you can, when you can. Only 5 weeks late!

So, since I took Jo to work and back, we grabbed a couple of chicken burgers and found a layby in the countryside and had a Day Date 🙂

Listen to what's going on in Australia! Hailey was sent to 14 days of internment camp - protected by high fences and police. She never even tested positive. She was put there as a punishment for lying to the police that she had taken the test, even if she hadn't. She had been around a person who tested positive, and police was knocking on her door. She got scared and said that she had had the test.

There is a information war going on in our world. There are so many in my country who don't believe in other information than what comes from MSM. Therefore I am happy that this is uttered in Finnish state media! It doesn't automatically mean that the covid passports will be stopped, but this can be an eye opener for ordinary peopel. It's the government's decision, but they discuss with our national health insitute. And at the moment the government is investigating the possiblities to implement covid passports at working places. I don't know where this will end. Worst case scenario: many of us lose our jobs because we refuse the vax. Best case: we return to normal. yle.fi/news/3-12238507?fbclid=
