@erdenpilger @richardafaherty Yes, my friend, I think we need always to realize our identity in Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). It is impossible to live the Christian life apart from Christ, for the Christian life is “no longer I, but Christ who lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). The more we realize this the more we will see the necessity to abide in Him (John 15). So daily in my prayer life I realize that it is of God that I am in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30) and my duty to abide there by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. May the Lord bless us with this realization always.

@erdenpilger What has helped me to overcome the love for the world is to realize the truth that Jesus said in John 17:14 that we are not of the world even as Jesus is not of the world. The old man has been crucified with Christ (Romans 6:6) and being born again (John 3:3) we are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). If this is true in you then you have the power by the Spirit to love not the world (1 John 2:15). It is a matter of spiritual exercise (Romans 8:13).

@Lindseyay The world says Virginia is “almost heaven” but we are seeking a better country (Hebrews 11:16). The old creation has beautiful scenery but the new creation is God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).

@ChristieLeanne I will certainly pray for you that some will see Jesus in you.

@mariapombo Amen Sister, I need a moment by moment encounter with God.

@Olamide Love your fellowship Brother! People need to see Jesus in us, not just hear about him. It is so easy to make void our gospel message by the way we live. O, that we would all be exhorted to live Christ!

@ShanHB First I believe, if we sit at the feet of Jesus, and learn Christ, we may be able to sit with sinners and have compassion on them to pray for them and how to reach them. When I was a young believer I prayed little and preached much with little remaining fruit. Now I am learning to pray, and I have less confidence in the flesh. The last two times I sat with some street people I saw tears. I think it was because I first she'd tears at the Master's feet.

@ChristieLeanne If you can make friends with them you may be able to save a soul from death. Just before my younger brother met Jesus he did a remodeling job in Washington DC at a strip club. God was preparing his heart and his eyes were open to see the empty life those girls had.

@paulandico4 I'm thinking of a song in the last line of stanza 3, and the chorus it says "Where Jesus is, my joy is there". Beautiful song; even "mid earth's sorrows and it's woe, This joy my Jesus here to know". I'm going to take time now to sing it.

@Lindseyay You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be my witnesses...
