How Nigerians pray......πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@tymektt @sinbach @bethany @Berrybunchfamily @Olamide @elasiewniak @dragonski this is so good!
I watched through tears for all involved - those being beaten and killed and those that have hearts without Christ. This fueled the flame of prayer. Thank you for sharing.

Reminder cont'd:
Even with an understanding of who a "witness" is....we need to understand what Witnessing for Jesus actually means.
They needed POWER!
Power (dunamis, Greek - meaning supernatural ability, might)
The very Supernatural Power of God's Spirit!
Only the power of the Holy Spirit would make them the kind of Witnesses that Jesus desired.
The Kind that would advance the Kingdom of God on earth.

Only the Power of the Holy Spirit can empower us to testify the truth to the hearts and minds of Non-Believers and Believers alike.
☝🏾Why?

---Because testifying of Jesus is an act of spiritual warfare!!!!---

Reminder:

Jesus had been resurrected. Jesus had died... crucified and buried!
3 days after his death and burial, He came back to life! They, the Apostles had been wih Him..eaten with Him!

Act 1:4-5 ISV 4 While he was meeting with them, he ordered them, β€œDon’t leave Jerusalem. Instead, wait for what the Father has promised, about which you heard me speak, 5 because John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit a few days from now.”

And here the Lord Jesus the Christ tells them not to leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit had come. The Holy Spirit would come with power, which would make them witnesses.

But were they not witnesses of the Resurrected Lord already??
Was He not standing here Alive!!! Were they not seeing Him and eating with Him????
Who is a witness..is it not related to testifying of what you have actually seen?? They had seen Him, ALIVE!!!!!!

What more did they need?

Sisters and Brothers, I'd like to bless you with a song about christian martyrs. Composed by good friends from "Fisheclectic" band. Those folks are closely related to the team that made the first Polish edition of "The Heavenly Man". So...
This Sunday please consider Hebrews 13,3.

Love you guys: @sinbach @bethany @MaryMamuzich @Berrybunchfamily @Olamide @elasiewniak @dragonski

Thanks @sinbach and the wonderful creators of DingDash.

Through it I've made a new friend who I text and video chat out regularly, who I wouldn't have otherwise had the chance to meet.

We're 6,000 miles away from each other, and we're scarily similar - but it's been a real blessing.

I wanted to pray more effectively, and more specifically, for the persecuted church. And Nigeria has been on my mind for a while now.

I highly recommend @sinbach 's podcast with @Olamide - backtojerusalem.com/podcast/ep

It is a really helpful call to action!

And next week in Prayer 2:62 we're gonna have a focus on praying for Nigeria, so I asked Olly D for a video clip we could use, and he sent me the video I've used here.

If nothing else, Olly makes it super simple what, why and how to pray and that's a priceless gift in, and of, itself!

This week CPAC speeches were blocked by YouTube.
Now an entire party in the a democratic country is being blocked. Regardless of your political stance, we should all be against blocking free speech.
This is why I LOVE DingDash.
We will keep trucking and providing a free speech platform.

People of God in your prayers, please do remember the Christians in Northern Nigeria: Pray against the very evil spirit of radical Islam..pray for the Nigerian Government to act to stop the killings and abductions...pray that the International Community would work to stop it!
Pray for the protection of Christians in Nigeria.. pray for those who are suffering. Thank you!

120 students abducted from Bethel Baptist school in Nigeria by Muslim extremists.
Why are we so silent on this???
On this podcast I ask BTJ Nigerian partner and friend Pastor @Olamide to explain to us the situation.

A healthy leader-follower relationship is less about an exaggerated leader romance and more about dual accountability. Accountability is what prevents pastors from becoming dictators and tyrants. Congregants need shepherds to help guide them to better places. Pastors need church members to fulfill God’s purpose for the church. The proper glue sticking followers with leaders (or congregants and pastors) is dual accountabilityβ€”not safety, belonging, and comfort. - Sam Rainer, Churchanswers.com
