Appearing to follow the crowd is still following the crowd. Many people want their cake and to eat it too. You cannot say you are against vaccine passports if you have one.

Regrets are just resentments one holds against oneself.

People do not like the harsh reality of Truth. They prefer lies and delusion because it offers temporary comfort, but at what cost?

We are on one of our biggest adventures right now. can't say much about it but would appreciate your prayers.

Wanted to shout out a recent podcast episode from @Cmarquis and Nathan. They highlighted some pretty major statistics:

61% of Christians have never shared their faith

42% of the world still live in unreached people groups

There are 900 churches and 78,000 evangelical Christians for every one unreached people group

51% of church attendees in the US were unfamiliar with the term 'Great Commission'

Here's the podcast if you want to give it a listen: forgeforward.org/blog/2021/07/

Thought of the day: I think it is sad that we live in a society that prioritizes youth over age and experience. When did being old become a bad thing, and why do primarily women act as though it is shameful? I don't understand dyeing ones hair, lying about your age, or it being culturally inappropriate ask how old someone is. I think disrespect of elders is a telling measuring stick of the health of a society.

@Knittinggrace this weekend I went for a walk with my daughters to look for rocks by the river. Some of the trail was difficult to traverse and my youngest was afraid. I held her hand and she successfully navigated the difficulties, and though she had faith and trust in me, it didn't overcome her fear. She was still afraid, but trusted anyways. Those who fulfill God's calling do so in spite of fear, not because of some perfect faith. Even Christ himself was so stressed he sweated blood before he fulfilled his destiny. My point is simply that everyone experiences stress, anxiety, and fear, including God himself while on earth, so emotions clearly have nothing to do with faith, nor a person's ability to fulfill God's plan for their life. I think I understand your point, but in honesty I find it both condescending and impractical to real life.

Thought of the day: I don't think there is anything scarier than being truly willing to follow God wherever He may lead. It requires giving up control of our lives and putting it into the hands of a Being that, if we are honest, is at some level abstract. That, I believe is the definition of faith.

Children at Christian schools are being targeted.
Why aren't we hearing about it?
1,000 children have been abducted this year alone.
Why aren't we hearing about it?
More Christians were killed in Nigeria last year by Muslim gunmen than any other place in the world.
Why aren't we hearing about it?
I am doing a podcast with our Nigerian partner Olamide Olly Dawson today to learn more about what is happening and how we can raise the awareness with the Christian Body. NIGERIA - YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

Thought of the day: I've been realizing there is a difference between a righteous man and a sinless one. There have been many examples of righteous men, but only one sinless. My goal is to be a righteous man, the Lord knows I've failed at being sinless.

@erdenpilger perhaps it doesn't work nowadays because no one in North America really attempts it. I think also people are emotionally prepared for the message because they have heard it before. Jesus loves you isn't exactly a groundbreaking concept. I personally believe I love you will break down the barriers, but that comes with a level of commitment I don't think most NA Christians are willing to make. We can't just say it, we need to live it, with passion, boldness, and pride in our Creator.

Thought of the day - you cannot preach salvation without sin, because without sin there is no need for a Saviour.

I prefer experimental christianity to theoretical christianity. I would prefer a major, "in that didn't work, try again," rather than, "what if."

PRAYER NEEDED: We were driving down the main street in our town here in China, when I saw a man, completely naked IN THE WINTER COLD! He was lifting a very large public metal garbage can and banging it on the ground. We immediately turned our van around to go help. When we got to him there was a crowd of 100+ spectators. Not one helping. Not one in position to help women and children if he ran towards them. Just videoing and laughing. I wept over this afterwards. I walked up to him and saw bruises on his back.He was crouching at the time and was attempting to lift the metal garbage box above him. I immediately told him her was loved and called him a friend. He stoppped. He let me take his cut bleeding hands off the box. Suddenly he sobered up mentally and started to speak English. We only exchanged a few words and the police arrived.he panicked and yelled “please don’t take my life” over and over as they forced him into a police car. Pray for him. For Salvation. For Jesus!

Update: My Grandpa has passed away. Please keep my family in prayer, especially my Grandma and mom.

DAY 18 - China's Songbird

God took a young peasant girl who couldn't even read music, and led her to write more than one thousand Chinese worship songs. If you walk into any underground church in China you will, without a doubt, hear the songs of Xiao Min.

DAY 16 - Missionary Silas

Silas shares about life as a missionary in Tibet-
"Simple things like water and electricity are an answer to prayer for us, but God has never failed us. He continues to show us that He is walking together with us."
