Decide now and prayer this prayer

Here is my thought on prayer today:
In our frail humanity we can never be cautious enough in how we approach the Throne of Grace in prayer. We would do well to apply the ratio of listen (to God) twice, and speak (in prayer) once. After all we have two ears and only one mouth!

My name is Rodney Hine. In 2004 I started using crystal meth to cope with life. In 2006 I was arrested and released on promise to appear. In 2008 I got my girlfriend at the time pregnant. Shortly after I got arrested. This woman fought for me and helped get me out of jail and into treatment. At the end of 2008 our baby was born. Early 2009 we got married. Fall of 2009 I finished treatment and started using again. 2012 I left my wife and son to run the streets and do drugs. 2015 I'm on the brink of suicide when I call out to God to move in my life. Shortly after I entered Adult and Teen Challenge and gave my heart to Jesus. 2016 I graduated the program, my marriage is restored and my family moves 8 hours from home to start a new live with me. 2021 I'm now the Program Manager of the men's center I graduated from.

All glory to the one who saved me and gave me a new heart. Never lose hope, God can do anything.

As we fellowship together on this Sunday morning and remember the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, may we also remember in prayer our BTJ missionaries serving the persecuted church in North Korea.

This is from our village in Sweden. RIGHT NOW is that time of year when the best beef comes out from the local farmers. I am soooo sad that I am not there right now. 😭

I am happy that we have Asian stores in our small town in this corner of the world called Finland. This is from our favourite, called Asian Market. Today we had dumplings for dinner, and different snacks after. We use to buy ingredients for Thai food as well. I once watched a documentary about real Chinese food in China. They said that Chinese food is much more diverse, rich and tasty than we are used to in the West. That's true for our city. I prefer the Thai restaurants here. They said in the documentary that those who start restaurants here haven't got the right education by real Chinese chefs, and usually aren't chefs at all.

@sinbach looks great! We use to buy beef from local farmers that have grass fed highland cows (Scottish), that roam outdoors all year round. It tastes heavenly and it doesn't push me be to become vegetarian... 😀

I know, this podcast is NOT for everyone.
But as a Christian I think I need to be honest & ask - perhaps in the strongest language possible - what do I need in life to follow Jesus regardless of what the world thinks? What keeps me from sacrificing myself on the alter of PC culture? What is inside of me that makes me desire, so stinkin' strongly, to be accepted by the world - even now?
Is my desire to be seeker friendly keeping from fully embracing the Gospel message?
Does fund raising ever influence the things I chose to share or not share?
Was there EVER a time in history when followers of Christ were accepted and loved by the world? If not, then why do I now think things are different?
