For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Dear Father God we intercede for our brother mentioned by Bethany. Lead him in your service glorifying Your name, but please keep him safe from harm and the authorities. Bring him safely home when his work is done. This we ask in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, Amen.

One of our BTJ partners working in a closed country was ministering yesterday in a rural village. The police were called and the local authorities are now looking for him.
Please keep him and his family in your prayers today 🙏🏼

Not all ministers need a stage.
Not all preachers need a microphone.
Not all ministries need neon lights.
Missionaries in closed countries are going back to the basics and using the same methods as the 1st century church - using simple business opportunities to spread the Gospel.
That's why we are hosting a Christian business forum and are inviting you to come and meet our Chinese, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African partners that currently use business in closed countries to support the spread of the Gospel and how we can partner together.

In Nigeria, Christian persecution rose by 60% last year and nearly half of Christians killed for their faith worldwide were killed in Nigeria.
Our brothers and sisters need our prayers.

This is an outstanding truth:

“God didn’t send the son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved by Him.” John 3:17

This is still true right now. God has no passion to condemn us for our failures. Failures are condemnation enough. It is not as though we were doing great before Jesus showed up and made us feel guilty. No. We are lost on our own, like sheep without a shepherd. God does not need nor desire to add to the condemnation. God sent Jesus to rescue us from our failures. Wow. That’s pretty amazing.

Why watchman née was arrested part a:

“On this day in 1952, Watchmen Nee was arrested and charged as a lawless capitalist. The communist media informed the world of the “crimes of Watchmen Nee,” citing many hundreds of alleged crimes and vices.

Among his crimes: He envisioned evangelizing all of China in the 1930s. He relentlessly encouraged Shanghai Christians to share their faith. His words were hard to ignore: ‘Because you are not witnessing, many have not heard the Gospel. They will be eternally separated from God. What a consequence of our apathy! This is my challenge to you. Witness to at least one person a day. Witness to whomever you meet. It is time for us to put feet to our faith.’ “

It may feel as though life has slowed down during all the lockdowns and restrictions the past year, but BTJ missionaries are still faithfully taking the Gospel into the most unreached nations in the world.
Our prayers are a vital part of their work. Would you take time to pray for them today?

There are many reasons to pray, in my opinion the simplest reason is the best of all. That we just want to be near Him. Too often our prayers can be filled with purpose driven lists, when maybe just hanging out with the Triune God is all we really need.

I began reading this a few days ago, and couldn't put it down until I finished it.
SUCH an amazing book - challenging, moving and inspiring.
Highly recommend!
