Reformation, Part II
Those of us who have studied history think that simple "Revivals" are messy enough. Well, Reformations are ten times worse! And yet, without
this level of "shaking", God simply cannot achieve what He wants to achieve.

I believe God longs for a 'new' Church. I believe He will not be
satisfied until He has a bride for His son that is "without spot or
wrinkle or any such thing." And since we are in the Last Days,
I believe He wants a full restoration - back to the true original purity, pattern and power of the early church. Nothing less will do. And the "shaking" that is required to achieve such a thing i almost beyond comprehension. But it is coming - in fact I believe it is at the door. The global shaking we are going through is nothing compared with what is about to hit the church. It will create a giant "mess" - but it will be a glorious mess. And at the other end of it lies a glorious church - truly fitting for a glorious Savior.

God's solution may not fit our ideas.

REFORMATION - NOT Just REVIVAL by Andrew Strom

Of course, I have written on this theme before. (My first book in
1996 was "The Coming Great Reformation"). But recently I have sensed God reminding me again that unless there is massive "shaking" and change in the church - then any 'move' that comes will not achieve what He desires. Some people simply want a return to repentance preaching and holiness in the churches. They just want an old-fashioned 'Revival'. That is a laudable aim - and one that I personally love - but it is not enough. In fact, it is nowhere near enough.

The fact is, Reformations are far messier, more contentious and
immensely more "shaking" than Revivals. They tend to target pet
doctrines, ingrained cultures and structures that the church has
been clinging to for years. They bring massive disruption and
division. They force people to "choose sides".

"Never has a nation had so many ministers who are doing so much that does not matter, for so few. Never has the arsenal of the weapons of the Kingdom of God been left to gather cobwebs for so long. Never has fear been such a guiding force in the choices of preachers."

@lynnexxa I sort of see what you
are saying. However, it's not people behind pulpits that we in America call "pastors" that will bring the power of God to this nation, it's the Body of Christ. "One man bands" are not going to create a new day of Pentecost. Pray that the 5 Fold ministry arises so the Body of Christ is edified and the gifts and callings of the Body of Christ become unstoppable. We the Body need the FREEDOM of the HOLY SPIRIT to rule and reign.

Missionaries in Myanmar: Part 2
All missionaries are suffering the misery of this greatly. My faithful missionary friend has a wife who is about to give birth, and there is no hospital opened. He said to me they would deliver the baby themselves in their small house by trusting God.
I have two small little girls, one is two years, and another is six months; I don’t care if I don’t have food to eat, but I think much for them and their safety. May you continue to uphold us in your prayer for our safety, provision, and protection.Soldiers are catching people from every house, and now they are near to us. Please pray for us.”

You can attend a large church, house church, small group, be in a marriage, friendships, etc...and still have no FELLOWSHIP. Better to have FELLOWSHIP with one than be in a room filled with people, and find yourself alone.

@lauralynn Most churches fail miserably at this. Acts 2:42 best describes this. It is one of my "pet peeves". For me it only happens in one on one meetings, in home churches, where two or more or gathered, or in men's meetings where this is purposed. Almost never in the hour of power we call church in the US. Frank Viola covers this subject well in his book REIMAGINING CHURCH.

The apostles' passionate obedience to the call of God is inspirational.
They knew they were risking their lives when they disobeyed the high priest and his officials by proclaiming Jesus publicly.
They had the "message of life!" How could they not declare it?
Threats didn't stop them. Arrest didn't contain them.
They were propelled by their love for Jesus,
their conviction that he had been raised from the dead,
and the call of their Lord to share his message with their lost friends, neighbors, and even enemies.
Acts 5:17-21

Guys I can't give any details and I will not be posting this information on any other forum, but this week is really important to us at BTJ. we have Chinese pastors that have traveled to be together for the first time since the pandemic started last year. It is amazing to be with them and in prayer with them, but we need to plan the best way to support the church in China for this year. We do not want our own ideas, agendas, and thoughts to pollute what God has for us. Please pray for the leading and the guiding of the Holy Spirit during this time.

If you haven't heard, Canadian pastor James Coates is in jail for holding church services in defiance of COVID edicts. I'm sure he's busy starting a prison ministry from the inside...

"Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear." (Phil 1:12-14)

@sinbach This should give us more than a hint as to where this COVID nonsense is going.

This video is the "rest of the story" in response to a video posted by Focus on the Family. It's very well presented. I love and support Focus on the Family Ministry. As Christians we should ask our Spirit for answers to such life questions. We should also search the scriptures as the answers are there as well. This has implications far beyond the medical subject be discussed.
