@faith20 Also in Finland the talks about the threat of nuclear radiation started when Russia attacked Ukrainian nuclear plants. In just couple of days all iodine was sold out at shops and pharmacies, even from the stock, when people became aware of it.

@faith20 You spoke earlier about the situation in Italy, and it's quite shocking to hear. Sadly I don't believe it's going to get easier with time, instead it seems to be something they want to make happen in other European countries, too. I got a confirmation about this when we had covid in my family just couple of weeks ago. I haven't taken the vaccin, so I called a nurse to ask whether I should need a pcr-test to verify it's covid. She said that a verification showing you have had covid wouldn't be of any use, because they are preparing for a vaccine passport next.
And that means, you can get the passport only by taking the vaccine, not in any other ways. So it's obviously coming to Finland too. What they'll use the passport for is something we'll have to wait and see.

@Knittinggrace by the way, does anybody know how the underground church in China is working today when there's all the covid restrictions? Are they able to meet face to face?

@Knittinggrace I believe we believers in the West need to start learning from the underground house church movement in the persecuted countries. It strongly looks like that's going to be also our future.

@Chidiotamiri This is encouraging! I and my husband have also been praying for revival in Ukraine since the war started. I believe for sure God can use a terrible thing like war for His purposes and to change it to become a blessing. Also in the book of Acts the church met persecution and when they fled Jerusalem and went to different places, the church started to grow wherever they went. May Gods fire - the lives he has touched - spread allover Europe and change the life of millions of people! And may his Church in different countries show God's love to the unbelievers from Ukraine, and may He use everyone of us to be a part of His work, in one way or another!🙏💖

"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." - Math. 24:12.

I believe we as believers should be careful not to become cold for the sufferings of this world. Although we see how this world is evil and how in many ways iniquity is growing, we are not to turn cold. EVEN if there would be wicked people working "behind the scenes" in Ukraine (as some people seem to think) these kind of things should NEVER make us cold so that we no longer feel for the sufferings of people, or that we think that THIS is the fight we need to fight (and start seeing Putin as a hero..!). No. We are not to forget why Jesus sacrified himself: for the sins of the world, for the sake of us human beings: for the souls of Man. This is what matters.

For already some time ago God started speaking about how it's time for me, and us as Church, to start taking Him serious. That, to follow Him is not a "childs game", it's something to take serious, be careful about.
He is looking for a people who are ready to leave everything else behind, who put Him first and will consider everything else as secondary. Not looking to and thursting for the idols and things of this world, but to only have eyes and a thurst for Him!
His will be done, not my own.
To follow Christ is not just about understanding what God has done for me, but also about how I respond to it. The Word needs to become flesh, to become a reality in my life, so that it will ultimately consume everything I am.

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." - Gal. 2:20.

@sinbach you're so right! Putin really has done a lot of bad things during the years, and not least to Christians in the country. I remember reading already about 10-15 years ago how he destroyed a Pentacostal church without any legal reasons. He showed his true character already then.

@sinbach Yes, I've noticed this too, and it's a bit scary actually, because I'm thinking, what if it was Finland and not Ukraine? Would people think all kind of bad about us too and salute how Putin is actually doing a good job when destroying us and our country..? I admit, it's probably a confusing thought that the main stream media would talk truth "for once"(and I agree they often don't), so I can very well understand how it's easy to start playing around with thoughts of all kinds of conspiracy theories. But I believe this time they are telling the truth about Putin. There really is demonic forces behind him. I probably would have been looking for these alternative theories too, if it wasn't for the fact that this dictator is my neighbour..! We living next door have a long history that teaches us NOT to be naive. We know this is for real and we could be next.
