@Olamide intereating bridge from nirvana

Oh my man you bring such joy o

Pointing being I was on missions...and after all the preaching in the villages.. retiring to the hut that night..I was absolutely joyous .. so I came up with this jingle!...

In God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust; I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me?

Psalm 56:4 AMP

@faith20 and you. I hoped they'd be encouraging...despite not really knowing what to say

Your words when I had Covid were deeply encouraging to my family.

Blessings

MOT day today (annual check on the car to see if it is good, mechanically)...and my very brief stay in hospital has certainly changed something. Cos when Jo wakes up and gets out of bed, I can no longer sleep, cos i miss her too much.

Anyway, morning DingDashers

Here's to life, and breathing, and peaceful hearts

Andy B

And I say, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. I would wander far away, I would lodge in the [peace of the] wilderness. Selah. I would hurry to my refuge [my tranquil shelter far away] From the stormy wind and from the tempest.”

Psalm 55:6‭-‬8 AMP

@faith20 Crying while reading your message. I'm not sure what to say to respond to this. Its just so dreadful to see.

All I can say is I agree with you about DingDash, because we've made some amazing friendships with brothers and sisters, like you.

We've been praying for you for a while now, and will continue do so.

Please keep me posted.

I can only offer my time in prayer for a supernatural intervention for you.

As I have known peace during our own very tough November, because of my brothers and sisters on DD - just like you - I pray you continue to know His peace and provision over in Italy

Your brother

A survival guide for -20°C (as we have today): layers of clothing and wool. Wool and wool. Wool is the perfect material because it's breathing, stays dry and keeps you warm. When you have many layers of clothings you easily sweat and it's super important that you stay dry. I have wool underwear, socks, mittens, scarf, caps (not this one), sweater... almost everything. My boots are one size too big so I can wear two pairs of socks.

⚠️Danger⚠️ Phone on Plane
10 years ago, we were ALL told to turn off our phones and laptops because it messed with the flight navigation system. As a pilot, I knew that it wasn't true, BUT we all followed the rules anyway.
FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.
Now, many years later, we are told that we can indeed have our phones in use during flight. It was NEVER a danger. Common sense told us that it was never a danger, but we all conformed -
FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.
Today we are told to have our phones in flight mode during take off and landing - as if that makes a difference.
Again - we all kind of know it isn't true - but we do it anyway
FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.
We like to scold the guy still checking his email right before take off because he is putting ALL of our lives in danger. He obviously doesn't care about THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.
Like the phone on the plane, I wonder....
how long will it take before we ALL realize that WEARING A MASK IS EXACTLY THE SAME.

@bethany @sinbach (we dont watch it anymore......)

Does that mean every movie with a Santa clause negates it being a Christmas movie, since that isn't what Christmas about ;-)

Asking for a friend

@sinbach @tanjaostman @bethany yep. He even reunites with his wife. How much romantic can a film possibly be?

@bethany @sinbach he even dresses up a bad guy in Christmas gear....even to the extent of writing "ho ho ho" on said bad guy's jumper

Christmas party

Christmas time + Christmas trees + Christmas decorations + Christmas festivities = Christmas movie 🙂

@sinbach my grandad never said much of the war

But he amazed me with the little he rarely said

Watching Ghandi (the film) "oh, my grandad was his bodyguard" the room was a bit stinned

While looking at the man, with thick glasses, shaky hands, and watching a war film "I used to win awards for my unit in sniper competitions" another stunned room

Captured by the Japanese in Burma. Stripped and told there were no bars, just jungle. So he legged it and escaped

The generation above us did amazing things for us.

I only hope our children will be able to say the same of us!

What a precious memory you have

I've never shot a gun in the UK. my Jo has...SA80 when she she in the territorial army, and pistols when she applied for the armed police...she came back every day with a huge grin on her face...I still remember the smell of gun oil...

Your memory sparked good memories for me too 🙂

Huge breakthrough in Iran today! Praise the LORD!
