The BP meds taste vile! When I go to bed I usually get a taste of them dissolving. I don't 'feel' anything from blood thinners
Bit with the beta blockers, I feel them doing something almost 2 hours exactly after i take them - but that is now fading each day

I'm really hoping it isn't more than 6-8 months...that's a wild guess as we simply know how long I'll have to wait for an appointment

Can't wait to come off them. But I do understand their importance

Yeah, it sucks but I'm getting there and truly find being grateful much easier!

@bethany @sinbach my meds have created a stronger than usual desire for meat........

Anyway, we're having minced beef for dinner tonight.

And I'll be doing my bit for veggies and vegans everywhere by eating up the meat - so they don't have to.๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿคฃ

The ultimate sacrifice ๐Ÿ™‚

A job I love doing, that I can't currently risk doing (as I get a bit too enthusiastic while doing it!!) And Mr getting a bad and unecessary cut would really upset my family.

So glad for my wife and Boys. They truly are awesome.

After a small mishap, when a pair of woollen gloves tried to take on the heat of a tumble dryer, and lost, Andy B started thinking about a much older memory of a very expensive cardigan that suffered the same, inevitable, outcome.

And, much like what happened to those woollen gloves, mistakes happen.

But, with God, the Good News is that we canโ€™t mistake ourselves away from God. Because the very nature of Gods to redeem our mistakes.

Those woollen gloves no longer fit an adult sized hand. But that mistake isnโ€™t a complete failure, as they still fit smaller children.

Andy B 2 Minute Video, Do What You Can When You Can, S4, E24

As a Stay-At-Home-Dad for more than 15 years Iโ€™ve thoroughly loved everything with caring for my family and our home.

But since catching Covid a little over a month ago, discovering an issue with my heart, getting through a lung infection and adjusting to a whole host of medication to keep me healthy until the heart issue can be resolved, it has taken a lot out of me.

The most challenging part is being on blood thinners. Because there is so much I canโ€™t do, or need to seriously question whether I should do that, or not...

@bethany @sinbach I'm not sure encouragement would make much difference.....I did that with a JW once...not a scammer, well of course, he was in one sense...stood there until he got frustrated and walked off....I was having a bad moment and the opportunity to unwind a bit presented itself

Never had a JW to the door ever again though ๐Ÿ˜œ So I certainly, successfully, accomplished something......

A few years ago....I'm sure I've matured by now. I'm growing a beard ๐Ÿ˜‚

@bethany it isn't quite a linear recovery. But it's definitely more up than down ๐Ÿ™‚

Being grateful has become a whole lot easier. That's is for certain!!

Be grateful, even for the small things you can accomplish

Today I'm making our bed.

Last time I tried to tidy it up, I had my first cut to deal with while on blood thinners - from a bolt that holds the frame together.

But I'm learning to get on with what I can do, when I can do it, and be peaceful when - like this morning - I felt a little in need of a bit more rest.

But this afternoon that extra resting (not my favourite activity.....at all....like ever!!!!!!) has paid off as I'm able to, slowly but surely, put fresh bedding on our bed.

For me that is an achievement, and one that I'm feeling very blessed to be able to do today.

I've even organised the table dryer loaded, loaded the washing machine myself.

Small things, but important. And each one I feel blessed to be able to do, as I start to get back with the idea of living.

So, put really simply count your blessings!!

Bit slower and more sluggish this morning.

But God is still good, and the good moments are increasing, while moments like now are fading!

How's my DingDash family doing today?

@DevotionalTreasures beautifully penned and on target, with a great encouragement to stay closer to Jesus during the Christmas period

A german lady has my interpretei's computer and is telling me Doctor is optimistic due to Nermin being strong and healthy except for COVID; I am hoping she keeps updates coming. His has been a smoker-cultural problem. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

I have been reading CHINA AND END TIME PROPHECY. As I think about the persecuted church, it strikes me we could already be into the 70th week of Daniel. It's not at all dependent on our western take or ideas or teachings.
