Dave the Dog story involves quail, but we didn't actually know what one looked like; I've eaten one (well several), but that was served on a plate with it's friends - post oven!

such a cute bird , and an awesome quiff; no morning hair problems with that thing sticking out the top of it's head!

Morning. Getting ready for some filming - another Dave the Dog story :-)

Happy Wednesday

As Christians - when we pray - are we praying to a loving, Father God who desires us to spend time with Him?

Or do we prefer to pray using a non-permanent pen, just in case we got our prayer wrong and don’t want to look foolish.

When we’re praying, as David Wilkerson wonderful pointed out and illustrated in his book “The Cross and The Switchblade” when we pray we should pray out loud so others can hear us.

To me, that is the difference between writing with permanent and non-permanent pen; praying so others can hear might make us look foolish if ‘it doesn’t work out’. But it also demonstrates that we’re serious about what we’re speaking to God about.

Spurgeon started a college for young men who were eager to preach but of a lower class than those who were generally accepted into the seminary schools of the day. Spurgeon started the school in cooperation with a man who disagreed with him doctrinally on several points.

I think that this fact is fascinating.

It seems to me that Spurgeon’s success is not attributed to his precise intellectual theology or Biblical interpretation, but to practical theology and humility. Spurgeon spoke to the average person in a language that they understood. Spurgeon sought to reach his audience instead of pleasing the religious elites and establishment. Spurgeon served humbly as a pastor and the people responded with gratitude.

Nothing really changes. Jesus said, “the least shall be the greatest and the greatest shall be the servant of all.”

Ministry = serving others

Little Blessings Online, Season 4 Episode 8, Stormy Stuff!

In Season 4, Episode 8, of Little Blessings Online, Jo Jo and Andy B look at stormy weather – rain, thunder, lightning – very frightening- and even cyclones and tornados – stormy stuff!

Story Time
For story time, Dave the dog shows off his counting skills as Jo Jo tells the story of Moses and more miracles – the top three – one, two, three! There are, in reality, ten miracles, but Dave the Dog can only count to three, so Jo Jo choses three miracles – can you guess which three she will choose?

Endurance, Series 2, Episode 8, The Warm Up

Steven introduces our theme this week – The Warm Up.

As usual, we have with Andy B and with Steven and Nathan.

Go Deeper with Andy B, who talks about ‘the warm up’ in relation to church and that uncommonly used word “edification”.

He looks at the idea of going to church, not to be served and to ‘consume’, but to edify fellow Believers, just as it says in our Scripture, 1 Corinthians 14:26.

We wouldn’t go the gym and expect to get fit by spectating. In the same way, we shouldn’t got to church and simply be consumers – we’re called to edify one another, and that’s means arriving at church, ready to worship and get involved in what is going on; as active participants - church is not meant to be a social club, after all!

Steven & Nathan discuss what ‘The Warm Up’ is all about:

Emergency plumber disconnected the dishwasher and it's outside, so at least the smell is finally dissipating.

Peter has calmed down now

Peace descending again

Thanks for the prayers

Please pray for Peter - 10

This electrical fire has really, badly, shook him up

Dishwasher just caught on fire......thankfully it was only for 15 seconds cos I was at the cooker at the time

Now waiting on an emergency plumber to disconnect it so we can get it out the house...it stinks!!!

Power isolated and I've just burst into tears on Jo because at least it happened when we weren't asleep and I could act immediately - even if the smoke detectors are really good, and get tested regularly by me that, is a shock have never faced - and this is why I check those smoke detectors!!

Estate agent have been AMAZING...spoke to the director who immediately assured me he would be underwriting any damage etc

Thankfully, it's just just a dead dishwasher, a bad smell - which we're currently venting, and nothing more.....

Praise God I was standing right near to it

Actual flames coming out the front of the dishwasher!!!!!!!!!!

In the middle of ,,pandemic" God invited our House Churches Movement in Cracov to increase number of joint meetings. He gave us safe place to meet. It's been over a year since we meet every week. As long as it is possible, we will warmly welcome guests.

Doing what God asks us to do can often start out really exciting. But are we doing it to be liked, or get likes or more downloads?

Or are we serving God, out of obedience and trust?

If we’re serving God we’ll always get what is needed to do what God is asking of us. From his own experience, Andy B can recount many times that ‘that thing we need’ invariably comes much later than we’d prefer.

But the working out of our faith isn’t gonna happen without times when we don’t have all we think we need right in front of us.

Really growing faith, happens when we trust God for the things we actually need, but don’t yet have!

This, then, is the man God uses. He has but one purpose in life. Every hindrance has been removed, He places himself absolutely at God's disposal. He has learned how to prevail in prayer. He is a student of the Word. He has a vital, living Message for a lost world, He expects results. And he works in the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.
